"The Last Dance" Michael Jordan & Chicago Bulls Docuseries

For those of you casting doubt on the Pizza story, take these things into account. The pizza was ordered late, possibly when they were closing up. I imagine the staff was pissed and decided to take it out on the order (think the movie Waiting). The odds of the employees knowing it was for someone on the Bulls is probably slim, however maybe whoever ordered the pizza had to name drop in order for them to take the order in the first place. Now according to the episode, 5 people showed up to deliver the pizza. Now either they were all in on it or maybe they knew that’s where the Bulls were saying and were hoping to catch a glimpse of anyone at that hotel.

The story is plausible and actually makes more sense than him having the flu.
I read somewhere that the pizza place knew that's where the team was staying. I think visiting teams always used that hotel.

I agree chances are low but not zero. I'm just saying the pizza guys didn't have to know it was for MJ. Word travels in any smaller city of what hotel athletes are staying in. Especially in fast food delivery, so the chances it's going to anyone on the bulls team or staff isn't that crazy. They could have been trying to get any other player or players sick. Doesn't have to be some big conspiracy.

😅 You're the only one making sense about the pizza story. It's a very simple answer. (If true.)

1. The pizza place knows what hotel the Bulls are staying at and when they get an order from there, late at night, they decide to posion it.

2. How many people from the Bulls organization are at the hotel? 30? 50? Any of those numbers is not a huge number. MJ is the only one that is staying up late and that's the only pizza place open in town. He was bound to get it.

I've heard the pizza story before at least ten years ago, it's in Bill Simmons Book of Basketball which was written more than ten years ago. The whole story isn't in there but it's mentioned. It may have been mentioned in the media before that as well.

It wasn't revealed for the first time in the documentary.

That Chicago/Indiana series really pushed me to get serious in basketball. I was in awe with that series.

I do not think that this was my point, relating who was better. My point was that in the long run, LeBron will be further ahead as a human being, far more evolved, more accomplished other than simply being able talk about six rings and selling sneakers.

cant argue that.

I liked the Last Dance a lot, but Im confused by people saying this documentary proved he was the GOAT. From a basketball standpoint, it really didn't teach us anything new about MJ that we didn't already know.

Bob Costas with his constant pot shots at Dennis Rodman's wrestling career. Mind you this is the same Bob Costas that **** rides Cardinal players of year's past (who were far from saints themselves) and Mickey Mantle.

But MJ calling Dennis Rodman "Rodzilla" was comedy. "

Rodman died his hair green and black to coincide with the Godzilla 1998 movie that was coming out right around that time.

When Jordan was rocking out with the headphones on the bus, and someone asked who he was listening to, I just knew it was gonna be something we didn't expect. I knew it wasn't gonna be snoop or 2pac. Mike just seemed too mature for that.
The song he was listening to on the bus is called "Days Like This" by Kenny Lattimore. Super duper 90's 😎

Bro, in the closing scene of episode 7, you can tell that he knows his method wasn't perfect but it's how he was raised and it worked in the end. Him getting teary-eyed and emotional said a lot. Similar to a parent that was abused as a child unleashing that same abuse on their kids; deep down they know it's not right but in the end it works, but they still carry a guilt. This is thread worthy bro.
Yes. Jordan has all of those anti social signs, no doubt. My favorite musical artist, well one of them, is James Brown. There is a book that came out a few years ago named “Kill’em And Leave”, and it discusses what it meant to be a leader of a bunch of people who cannot manage themselves, then how abusive tactics were used ti keep these personalities in line. Jordan reminds me of Brown in that way. Brown was also a self hating narcissist. The real story if how all of this began, especially for the Black athlete, starts with slavery, and how Black people should be handled differently from everyone else.

Think of the younger generations who only know JOrdan as the "Shoe dude."

A few of the kids I work with have texted me saying he was the best ever. They previously crowned LeBron as the man

You know that phrase “louder for people in the back”?

That is in part what this doc was.

Kareem could have had this type of story but he didn’t have the right frame of mind, the country was much different then and so was the sport.

Kareem also had a couple of crooks in his circle that cost him dearly.

From a younger generation standpoint I could understand but Im hearing people 35+ saying the same thing. Maybe people really forgot who he was.

Of course they did. Jordan has been inactive for 15 years, so it is very easy to forget what he has done.

LeBron has been in our face since the time Jordan has left.

It makes sense

It also speaks to how important Jordan ISN’T, due to his own decision to not be more than what he was. Only scoring baskets isn’t the most important thing in the world for most people.

Ok then you should at 1978S 1978S because I was trying to make it make sense to him. He had questions about the story and he's not the only one.

Anyway I'll drop it. #FoodPoisoningGate isn't that important.

Ummm yeah it's not that important. Don't @ me.

You & I can just agree to disagree.

That is deep and I wouldn't never guessed it rooted back to slavery. And i never knew that about James Brown. Wow.

It's no surprise that the higher ups in most companies, and even wealthy people in general are so self centered and out of touch and never really happy.

And the spread love, selfless, hippie type are always poor but happy.

It’s the pie in the sky theory at work. This is how christianity permeates society as well. Suffer in order to gain success, never using intelligence.

Speaking of rubbing rings in someone's face, another athlete that seems mad insecure and somewhat out of touch is Shaq. He used to act like a straight up baby when he first joined inside the nba and is QUICK to get in his feelings and lash out, especially at Chuck. And he loves to wave those rings in Chuck's face like that validates his existence as a human being.
