The fact that they have to regroup and go back to formulating a plan B tells me they felt like they were closer to getting Ben Johnson than they actually thought they were.

This must be why a few of the beat writers felt confident that Ben Johnson was coming too, probably felt like a done deal internally.

It’s def gon be Pete carroll. I wanted an oc (Coen or monkin), but realistically, the raiders have the worst qb situation in the league so I get why an oc would want to stay away.

I wanted a young coach too but I can’t be mad at Pete. He’ll at least come in and set a foundation. It’s going to depend on the rest of his staff. I feel like his assistant coaches towards the end in Seattle were bad.

He’s been throwing some shade out there and saying we’ll see what happens this offseason. Just feel like that’s him opening that door and letting it be known.

Saw a headline today that he said there’s not much “guaranteed money” on his contract left, and that was something he wanted to discuss.

In reality there’s only a couple guys who you can trust. Everybody else is “my sources” are saying and putting whatever story out there.
