I ain't got nothing against the Seahawks or the 12's. Much respect to those dudes...love the way they play. But holy **** man, it's kind of wild how damn near EVERY time there's some controversial call (or non-call) it revolves around them benefiting somehow. :lol :{ I'm finally starting to see what y'all see.

I don't think it's anything nefarious or w/e. It's just strange as hell.

Midway point of the season is officially here.

Next week though!

I don't see Marshawn back there 8o,they're getting stuffed this time :lol

No whistle on the FG attempt until after the block, and looks like Sherman going after the ball and only got Carpenter's knee when he was going forward with the kick. Penalty for sure, but idk about dirty as people been saying.

tyrod was outside the pocket

Where is the rule that when the qb is out of the pocket you can interfere with receivers? Why wouldn't all teams just light up receivers once somebody is out of the pocket? Past the line of scrimmage is one thing, but out of the pocket?

Word this is what I am wondering as well. Teams should do this all game against the Hawks especially with that o-line and/or how much Russ scrambles

I'm not goona search through the entire rule book and idk what the exact rule is, but a quick google search yields:

which links to an article (ironically is about Sherman as well) that states:
In today’s NFL, quarterbacks routinely look to leave the pocket. This typically stresses the defense because it forces the secondary to cover for longer, but it is often forgotten that once a quarterback leaves the pocket defensive backs can become as physical as they like with the receivers they are covering. As soon as the opposing quarterback leaves the pocket against the Seahawks, Sherman is always looking to knock his assignment to the ground. This may seem like a cheap move to the uninformed, but it is the smartest way to stop receivers from making big plays against you. The quickness of thought to recognize the scenario and his understanding of the rules is something that not every player possesses, even at this level.

Somethings been up between Seattle and the refs since the whole replacement ref debacle man :lol

Funny how in hindsight, they didn't do that bad a job as we thought at the time :rollin

We all know Pete ****** up, but IMO the unstated part of Pete's decision to throw it was his reasoning for it. After all the excitement wore off, I wanted to know why. Not from beat writers or analysts, just straight from Pete's own mouth.

I forget his exact words, but basically it came down to Pete having the fear of Gawd. He knew he had more than 1 shot at the endzone and wanted to kill as much time as possible before Thomas got the ball back. The slant was considered a "safe" play on 2nd down. He figured he could be liberal with his downs and was OK if they didn't score there. The rest is history.

I always found that interesting though, and kind of an understated point. He based his decision around his fear of what Tom was about to do.
