The Google Phone Vol. HTC made, Nexus One . $279 upgrade price, Verizon(Spring), Syncs w/iTunes!

OK MY OPINION ON THE PHONE AFTER A FULL DAY:

Great phone i had the g1 before this one...

I didnt change my plan on tmobile i just put my sim card in it works.
The Keyboard is similar to other android keyboards as far as typing but you get use to it i hated the g1 onscreen key board this one is improved i feel.
There is a button on the keyboard you can press..you talk in to the phone and it types out what you say.
The live wallpaper is really cool
the camera and flash is great g1 didnt have that and the camera zooms takes great pics.
The g1 feels like something from the stone age now i have been using the nexus.
everything is faster downloads, searches, maps, everything
THE BATTERY IS CRAZY improved compared to that g1 trash battery.

if you have any questions i missed let me know......

I played with one yesterday.

It's a dope phone for sure.

There is NO lag to it at all. Everything is super responsive.

With that said.

I'll stick to my 9700.

there have been talks about the 3g reception being a bit unsteady, what's your take on that- is the 3g reception on par/better/worse than the G1?

Been trying to order this phone for the past day and a half through google / tmo......they must be having some kind of issues.

Wait, so the only way to get this phone on a family plan is to buy it unlocked? The only way to get it for the 179 dollar price tag is to get an individualplan?

After watching that video ninjahood posted, I'm starting to like this phone more. But, with all this competition, Apple is more than likely gonna steptheir game up. This means nothing to me though if Verizon doesn't get the iPhone and I will be getting the Nexus One.

EDIT-----Did the guy in the video say the Nexus One had the auto correct feature for texting?

Man I want this, I cant spend almost 6 bills on this though, I think I'm gonna just get a 9700 for like 300

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it had it. Some box popped up when he was typing saying that he was typing in the "to" box which is whythe auto correct didn't work. But then later he said he loved the auto correct feature on the iPhone but said the Nexus One didn't have it.

I was about to get a blackberry outright... think I might buy this outright instead.

how are spreadsheets on android platform?
Google imposes $350 early termination fee for subsidized Nexus One in addition to carrier's own ETF
By Ross Miller posted Jan 12th 2010 7:21AM
Here's another reason to consider going the unlocked route with the Nexus One, in addition to having the AT&T (non-3G) and international GSM option. As a number of people have noticed, Google's got its own Early Termination Fee (ETF) equivalent, here called the Equipment Recovery Fee, in the terms of sale, to the tune of $350 if you cancel within the first 120 days. Sound familiar? It's because we saw it in a leak just before the new year. Here's the kicker, though: this is in addition to any fees imposed by the carrier -- not necessarily a problem on its own, but we just glanced at T-Mobile's terms of sale, and sure enough, there's an associated ETF up to $200. If we're reading this right, Nexus One owners who decide to end their service after the 14-day trial period is over but before four months have passed will be hit with upwards of $550 in fees -- more than if you bought the phone outright from the start, especially when you factor in the upfront $180. There hasn't been enough time for someone to tempt fate, but who knows -- come January 20th when early adopters' trial period ends, there might be some interesting stories abound.

8830's 8900's thru wear & tear, and da "business grown up" facade fades away to new techonolgy.... it wont be long before da blackberrybacklash will be under way.

A gazillion times better. Andriod UI is 10000000000% trash.

Yeah i just made the switch from Pre/Sprint to the Nexus One/T-mobile...im getting used to the Android UI, but it gets a lil bit confusing when i hook it up tomy computer to transfer files...The Pre was well organized and i knew where to drop files...its a learning curve for me so can anyone point me in the rightdirection for Android 101?

Is google going to start making a line of phones similar to the nexus one? Like sold outside T-mo, with different models (hopefully one wit a physicalkeyboard)??

If you check the HTC thread, on the first page you'll see the phones that will be released in the first half of 2010. There will be HTC phones on par withthe Nexus One that have a keyboard
