I think Richard Jefferson is an a-hole, never cared for him since he was a Net and heard what he said to JWill live. It was foul.

Joe is a hypocrite. The setting/platform definitely matters and changes things, it definitely does but he's made E cancer jokes, E dead parent jokes, Ish got shot jokes, etc. all the time on the pod

I definitely do not view the pod as a place of formal serious discussion. I absolutely view the main broadcast of the NBA draft as such.

I absolutely got where Joe was coming from. I dont even know if RJ and Jay would have such a relationship where a joke like that should fly in any setting. Gotta be pretty good friends with me to joke about something that almost took my life.

But this the second time Joe been disrespectful to Whitney. I love Marvin, I listen to more Marvin than any 70's singer but he saying Whitney don't belong in the same room as Marvin. Man what?

We're talking about music. Not image or recency. Not ability to sing. Not popularity, because one has been dead over 40 years.

A lot of you worship singers because of their recency or what you perceive them to be.

Do you listen to Whitney? Marvin has about five classic albums at least and a catalog of about 20 albums. He created two of the greatest albums in the history of music. The differences, Marvin did a whole sountrack. Whitney sung other peoples songs on soundtracks.

Whitney was in the Diana Ross mold, where they made a black woman pop. That wasn't Marvin, Marvin made soul music.

Musically she doesn't belong in the same room as Marvin or Stevie. She made catchy pop tunes and is more Janet Jackson. Especially after the first album. Whitney didn't even like a lot of the music she made. Marvin wrote a lot of the music he made.

The conversation was more than about where it's taking place given it was Jefferson and Jay Will.

I don't disagree with Joe. Didn't say anything close to it. I just noticed a bit of hypocrisy. Joe be telling jokes sometimes that only come off as jokes to him.
