not that coaches are want to be 'stifling' guys but pros talk about this all the time, about having to fit into roles if you aren't drafted as one of those ones & some of the politics of playing time & player development...
obviously wemby being a 1st overall pick & a centerpiece player on a team with no feature guys/stars is a different circumstance than bol² being a talented guy that fell due to injury & other concerns going to a team with 2 all stars & just about to get paid mpj, where minutes for him we're going to be scarce probably in the best case scenario...
young players tend to make mistakes, teams that are winning have less tolerance & usually less minutes for those guys, man like bol² did come into the association off an injury but seem to be legitimately freakish talented (probably could say this about a bunch of guys tho) in some aspects similarly to wemby & has shown it in games...
even as much as some of those teams that took flyers on man needed his minutes for stretches when guys were hurt, they didn't seem to have much patience for him when they weren't forced to play him,

is the speculation that man could be a different player if in a different circumstance so outlandish?
