Too big of a look to turn it down. Her fanbase increased by a few million and her streaming numbers soared. Plus, I’m sure someone on her team knew that they could use the pregnancy to ensure a successful outcome.
I’ve always heard she was “just an okay performer”so I didn’t understand why there was so much hype about it. I figured it would be a “meh” half time (which it was). But in the social media age, all that attention would equate to money in the bank. Can’t leave dollars on the table.

I think it was already announced she was going to perform and she got pregnant, so it was too late to pull out. She would only benefit anyway with streaming and her makeup line.
She doesn't do a extravagant show anyway, so it didn't matter.
But if you're forgettable like Coldplay, you should have had some guest to liven it up to provide energy you lacked. She has hits and she did pieces of hits, but nothing was memorable about that other than her being pregnant and that will be the takeaway years from now.

That was the weird part, playing parts of her songs with other people without them.
