The College Basketball Post

No dude...all jokes aside I am not the person who is going to attack someone by saying they're gay. That type of ignorance has to stop. I was commenting about you being a stan...BIG difference. I am however confused of how complexion and hair texture made its way into the discussion. Maybe instead of asking for your basketball "resume" I should be asking to see your standardized test scores :x :lol

Oh and that gym in Atlanta (actually Marrietta) is how I was able to work on my game with Steve Smith, Grant Long, and Mutombo who played at ATL at the time and Coach Hanzlik an assistant at the time. It wasn't a one time thing it was over a period of time. Steve saw something in me and took me under his wing, it wasn't like I was a groupie.

1. I can't believe I have to explain this, DJ Augistines and Trey Burke's games aren't that similar, DJ wasn't really a pure point and Rick Branes doesn't feature the pick and roll at texas. The only thing that similar is they have the same skin color and waves, it's pretty simple joke, i guess I over estimated my audience.

2. Dude I don't care about your resume, if you have an actual argument then that's fine, but other than that nobody NT ever gained a respected opinion on NT by constatly bragging about their "resume", it's the quality of you arguments.

3. given how unsuccessful former players seem to be at player evaluation is pretty clear indicator that your on the court play is not really correlated to being able to objectively analyze the performance of two teams.

I think maybe people are saying DJ Augustine, cuz that's how Steve Kerr described him during one of the games. The Kansas one, I think.

I hate Steve Kerr as a Broadcaster... Him and Jon Barry. They make me cringe at least 3-4xs a half with some of their statements.

Honestly, I feel like Jalen was kinda oding going up on radio and calling out C-Webb saying he has to be at the game and so on. Just making an awkward situation worse. He didn't have to put C-Webb out there like that.

I don't understand why he would want to separate himself from them, they changed the game of basketball, & made history.

Why would you shun that? So the **** what they took the banners down, they can't erase who you were/what you did. What's seen can't be unseen. they aren't going to burn the footage of that team. It was one of the greatest teams in the history of the game. I'd wear that **** proudly like Jalen does.

I don't understand dude.

I honestly think he's passed it by just not even addressing it. What happened has happened and nothing's going to change that so he's just decided to move on and not dwell on it anymore. He probably feels the program turned it's back to him so he'll just keep it moving. Yet Jalen constantly wants to put the man on front street about it every time it comes up. Respect the man's feelings and let him make his own choices. I honestly don't blame him for not wanting to be attached to it anymore.

I don't mind Kerr. I mean he does have a few, what the **** are you talking about moments, yeah. But Jon Barry can go play in traffic. He mastered the "I'm only here cuz I won a contest" style. :{

It probably goes deeper than just UM taking down the banners. Who knows.

Plus it was 20 years ago. Things and people change over that period of time. Maybe they just grew apart despite their "bond."

I thought it was great to see C-Webb at the game and his 10 year "disassociation" period ends next month. I think he'll have more of an active role in the program now.

He'a an adult who has been succesfull in many avenues, why should he still walk around carrying a flag of something that was 20+ years ago? Between the Ed Martin experience, getting death threats and just the general anguish over that timeout, its pretty easy to see why someone is apathetic toward the whole Fab Five thing. He's 40 years old, why should he have to glorify his college years when he has done so much other **** in his life? It's not like he going out of his way to **** on them, he just doesn't particularly care to be involved, what is wrong with that?

russ smith going pro, i dont know what future he has in the league. kid is too erractic :lol

Jus' finished watchin' my DVR of the championship game.

Belign did the right thing in takin' out Trey in the first half up 12. Yeah, he's the National Player of the Year but refs don't give a hoot about that. Anything could happened.

Hadn't Trey gotten any cheap fouls and whatnot, I really do believe the Wolverines would have been national champs.

Louisville is a hell of a squad though. With Rick Pitino as a head coach, there is no wonder why they were the overwhelming favorites and #1 overall seed in the tournament. HOF for Pitino!!!! Hancock & Siva showed out boy!

Oh and Spike became a man last night :smokin

I don't know how to explain this but as a Michigan fan I wish the Fab Five wouldn't come around. I think it's great they still want to support the team and stuff but they're part of the reason why it's been 20 years since we've been this far. I don't know it's hard to describe. I like all those guys but I think there's just a sense of controversy surrounding them that doesn't need to be in AA. It's a weird feeling.

If college players start getting paid to play, I feel that money will taint and effect the play of the game.

:lol

That you Mark Emmert?

These kids play for money indirectly (draft stock/all the revenue they bring in for the school) and directly more than you know.

What you guys think?

Burke = Jameer Nelson at worst

Russ Smith = less athletic Monta Ellis at best, John Lucas at worst

McGary = David Lee at best

Dieng = Samuel Dalembert
