Calethes was ballin' til he got to the free throw line.

i've never, ever heard Rupp as loud as it was before that first free throw.

Walter Hodge is a punk.

coming out party for Galloway.

Liggins barely played, time to give KG a shot at runnin the point.

hope Pat's ok.

big, much needed win.

Meeks is filthy.

Calathes straight up choked at the line.

No surprises tonight. Everything went how I thought it would. I knew 'Nova wasn't losing at home.

Got tickets to the Cavs game for Christmas, but I seriously thought of ditching them to go to Rupp tonight, Listened to it on the radio on the way home, placesounded crazy, glad Galloway finally did something

And Pat.... Please be ok

Hodge HAD to see his leg the way he was looking down, IMO. But, he did look surprised when he realized he stepped on it.

Galloway FINALLY showed something.

I thought UF would win this one, but good win for the Cats, hopefully they can run into a little winning streak.

Last night's Clemson-Boston College was the start of a terrific week-long stretch in which I'll see six ranked teams and also get a chance toparticipate in the NCAA mock bracket on Thursday.

Tonight I'll head to Syracuse-UConn before leaving for Indianapolis and the NCAA offices in the morning. Then I'll take in my first game at HinkleFieldhouse and watch my pick for National Coach of the Year, Butler's Brad Stevens, on Friday night.

Then it's home for Valentine's Day on Saturday (if anyone has any innovative ideas to get my wife, I'm certainly open) before catching Duke-BC onSunday and Pittsburgh-UConn on Monday night.

STUD OF THE NIGHT:
With his sidekick, Patrick Patterson, on the bench due to an ankle injury, Kentucky's Jodie Meeks hit a huge game-winning3-pointer with less than five seconds remaining to knock off Florida at home and snap a three-game losing streak.

DUD OF THE NIGHT: The Michigan Wolverines scoring just 42 points in a home loss against Michigan State. Michigan, once a lock NCAA tournamentteam, got just seven points from star guard Manny Harris on 2-of-10 shooting. The Wolverines are 15-10 overall and 5-7 in Big Ten play with six regular-seasoncontests left.

STAT OF THE NIGHT: Michigan State freshman Delvon Roe logged a career-high 28 minutes and posted his first career double-double (14 points, 10rebounds) in the win at Michigan. The Spartans won their sixth straight league game on the road.

UNDER-THE-RADAR PERFORMANCE: Seton Hall has reeled off five straight in the Big East after starting the league slate 0-6. However, none of thefive victories have come against sure-fire NCAA tournament teams. The Hall has UConn at home over the weekend and then they go to Marquette.

ON TAP: North Carolina at Duke is the main course, but it gets started tonight with Syracuse at UConn. There are a few other intriguingmatchups - including Oklahoma at Baylor and Xavier at Dayton.
Jordan Brand Selections Leave Out Lance, Dexter; Mickey D'sLeaking Out
Posted on Feb 10, 2009 11:27 pm
The selections for the Jordan Brand Classicwere announced Tuesday night on ESPNU and the shocking news is that both Lance Stephenson and North Carolina-bound guard DexterStrickland did not make the team.

Ironically, the announcements were made on the same night Lance dropped acareer-high 50 points in front of Maryland Coach Gary Williams.

I can't imagine why these guys aren't in it, but it's a bad job by the folks at Jordan. If it has something to do with Lance wear-testing UnderArmour gear for Lincoln, then shame on the Jordan folks.

"Yes, that's terrible," Lincoln coach Dwayne "Tiny" Morton wrote in a text message. "I don't believe that,in New York City at the Garden. He played at their [Nike] camps. He loves Jordan shoes. I know he wanted to play in that game."

Lamont Jones and Tommy Mason-Griffin are on the team, but Stephenson and Strickland aren't? That's a flat-outjoke.

Stephenson is the No. 1 ranked player in the Class of 2009 according to Hoop Scoop and No. 9 by Rivals. Strickland is the No. 3 point guard in the class.

Here are the guys who made it for the game, which will be played April 18 at Madison Square Garden and shown on ESPN2: Xavier Henry(Oklahoma City, OK/Memphis), Derrick Favors (Atlanta, GA/Georgia Tech), John Henson (Tampa, FL/North Carolina),DeMarcus Cousins (Mobile, AL/Undecided) and Renardo Sidney (Los Angeles, CA/Undecided); Kenny Boynton(Plantation, FL/Florida), Avery Bradley (Henderson, NV/Texas), Dominic Cheek (Jersey City, NJ/Villanova), Abdul Gaddy(Tacoma, WA/Washington), Keith Gallon (Mouth of Wilson, VA/Oklahoma), Jordan Hamilton (Compton, CA/Texas), LamontJones (Mouth of Wilson, VA/Virginia Tech), Wally Judge (Jacksonville, FL/Kansas State), Tommy Mason-Griffin(Houston, TX/Oklahoma), Alex Oriakhi (Tilton, NH/UConn), Daniel Orton (Oklahoma City, OK/Kentucky), MasonPlumlee (Arden, NC/Duke), Durand Scott (New York, NY/Miami-FL), John Wall (Raleigh, NC/Undecided) and RoyceWhite (Minnetonka, MN/Minnesota).

MCDONALD'S SELECTIONS LEAKING OUT

The McDonald's All-American selections will be announced Feb. 18 for the April 1 game, but according to a post on Rivals.com several players havealready been notified.

I don't want to get any angry calls from the folks at McDonald's because this is being reported elsewhere. I'm just the messenger.

Here are the names that have reportedly leaked out: Abdul Gaddy, Avery Bradley, Alex Oriakhi, Maalik Wayns, Dominic Cheek, Tommy Mason-Griffin,Kenny Boynton, Ryan Kelly, David & Travis Wear, Xavier Henry, Keith "Tiny" Gallon, Dante Taylor, Wally Judge, DeMarcus Cousins, Dexter Stricklandand John Henson.

i expect Honeycutt or moser to get picked....i was going to say nelson too but he got in trouble so...

Nobody likes Lance. One of these "street agent" types that covets area kids around here hipped me to the +%%+ Lance was pulling @ the USA tryoutshere in DC. They said he got into it with several of the players and not just on the court . Also said he had to be separated from McKillop after going at ittoo...

Wouldn't be surprised if they they didn't pick him for the McDonalds either.

Old news, that's why he got kicked off the team. He better fix his attitude before he steps on a college campus this summer. It will be a verylong year for him if he chooses not to.

Durand came a long way

Lance not in the JB game? And not on that leaked McD's list?

With Lance you know what you going to get:
-He is going to put your program on the map.
-He is playing for the League and will tell you outright that it's his only concern.
-Won't step foot into a classroom during the second semester, maybe not even the first.
-Unless the whole coaching staff catered to him, dude is Isiah Rider-Reincarnated.

I #+#$* with Durand....

O yea...Nova- Let's Get It
-When Fisher is being an assertive PG, this team looks so much different.

Wow, Lance's attitude may keep him off of the McD AA team. Hopefully that will humble him if it happens.

We should beat St. John's tonight the way that we've been playing.

probably just the Big East in me, but i look forward to Uconn/Cuse more tonight.

pretty sure I know what UNC and Duke are, not sure on Uconn.

Give me UNC, tho.

I feel pretty much the same way.

Honestly, I could really care less about UNC / Duke, (especially when Lost is on at the same time). I might catch some of the 2nd half though.

Hopefully Cuse can pull the upset.
