You guys wearing mask on these rides? I'd rather not but I don't wanna be a ****. Then again I'm not stopping so who am I really hurting?

i love my mtb, riding trails by my house is too fun.
not a new bike but still pretty light and plenty of fun
mtb's are so versatile
not a fan of a "springing" fork, it threw off my upper body strength real quick :(

I wear a winter collar thing that can cover my mouth and nose but for the most part I keep it down around my neck. It’s too hard to ride with a mask and I don’t see the need.

Hardtail or full sus depends kinda where you are riding. If the trails are really rough than go with full sus. I really like the simplicity of hard tails.

My Orbea Laufey.
No doubt! I jsut moved up here to the PNW and I haven't ridden any trails. Going to hit a few when I finish tuning my bike and swapping a few things. Im by no means an advanced MTB'r though. But I enjoy it. They pro pro out here lol.

Do you guys wear padded shorts? Rode 15 miles today and 12 miles a couple days ago. My gooch is sore. Or any suggestions on comfortable saddles for a road bike.

Gotta get a cycling bib or shorts fam. I found no matter the saddle, the longer the ride, you will be sore.

Anyone who rides a bike ANYWHERE should wear a helmet, PERIOD!! The "it won't happen to me" crowd is just crazy to use that as an excuse to not wear one! When I got back into riding, last October when I ordered my DS 3, The first thing I bought, even before my bike was a helmet. Searched high & low for the right color. Found it and ordered it, once I measured my head for the proper size.

It's a Giro Montaro MTB/Trail helmet. The back covers the lower base of the skull vs a road helmet and it fits me better. The dial at the bottom in the back is the adjustment for fit. It's extremely comfortable. I actually wear a normal old fashioned bandana tied over my head (how Agassi wore them) under it. Helps with keeping sweat out of my eyes. The visor can come off and it even has a mount for a GoPro if I wanted to have some video protection in case of an accident.

Now, I will say, I won't ride the street anymore. It's just too dangerous in my area. With drivers texting and such, no thanks! And the episode that cinched it, my wife & I heading to the local casino for a stand up show, we saw a young girl frantic, running out of her car. Couldn't figure it out until we saw a cyclist who was motionless on the ground. She hit him! 😞😞 Yeah, no thanks! Thank goodness my county has some of the best paved bike paths that go from basically my development all the way to the Philly (Art Museum). The Schuylkill River Trail is the best!!!

For anyone who is on the fence of getting a helmet... just get one and be safe!

Honestly I'd get bike shorts with the pads just for the purpose of making my butt look awesome

Can anyone recommend a road bike? My budget is $1,500.00. I've been scouring facebook marketplace and craigslist in my area and haven't found much, so new may be the way to go.

might be making the drive up to NYC to pick up a bike. Any tips on transporting it back in my car? I figured I can take the front wheel off and put it inside, not sure I want to invest in a rack right away.

Anyone into city cruiser bikes? Just got a delay on my brilliant cooper bike :(
