he wasn't aggressive the following season?????
the best thunder team to date, was the season AFTER trading harden.. unfortunately russ got hurt in the 2nd game of the playoffs (the thunder were the number 1 seed that year)
then he won the MVP the year after (with russ missing a ton of the season).. unfortunately, ibaka get hurt literally right before the western conference finals
then he was hurt last year
You could use that logic on almost every series. At one point the Warriors were down 1-2 to both the Grizz and the Cavs. I don't think the fact that they almost lost really matters. The 1st round of the playoffs, though...he was a Scott Brooks mishap away (not playing Adams in Game 6) and Zbo playing in Game 7 away from losing in the 1st round. Not to mention being called out by his own people (the newspaper article after going down 1-2).
hell, if ibaka doesn't get hurt.. I'm not sure the "on a mission" spurs win.. with a hobbled ibaka, thunder won 2 games and took a 3rd to overtime.. they lost the 1st two with ibaka out completelyI'll go as far as to say this. I don't think GS would have beaten a fully healthy OKC this year. The "on a mission" Spurs maybe.
OKC post season failures isn't because of something KD lacks. I don't see it that way at all.
All of this!

and you have the idiot brooks trying to adjust on the fly.. the same guy who had steven adams glued to the bench until he got desperate
trust me I'm well aware of Scotty's stupidity..The 1st round of the playoffs, though...he was a Scott Brooks mishap away (not playing Adams in Game 6) and Zbo playing in Game 7 away from probably losing in the 1st round. Not to mention being called out by his own people (the newspaper article after going down 1-2). This was before any major injury.
Kawhi sonned KD the last time the 2 saw each other in the playoffs. Biggest possession of his life, iso'd 1 on 1, not only did KD not get a shot off, he just fell and turned the ball over.

This lockout is going to be fun
NBA Players' Union: Adam Silver Is Full Of Crap
Deadspin
On Tuesday, in response to a question at a press conference after a Board of Governors meeting, NBA commissioner Adam Silver asserted that a “significant” number of NBA teams were losing money. lol) This mirrored what Silver said at the beginning of the season, which the league repeated two months ago.
Today the National Basketball Players Association has issued a response to Silver’s claim. While prefacing her statement by saying “we agreed not to debate the finer points of negotiation in public”—Silver said something very similar after his comments—NBPA president Michele Roberts said “business is thriving,” and added these “facts of this business”:
Under the CBA, we do not have a gross compensation system. The players 50% share is calculated net of a substantial amount of expenses and deductions.
New and renovated arenas around the league have proven to be revenue drivers, profit centers, and franchise valuation boosters. That has been the case over the past few years in Orlando, Brooklyn, and New York, to name a few. In some instances, owners receive arena revenues that are not included in BRI. Many teams also receive generous arena subsides, loans and other incentives from state and local governments as part of their arena deals.
Virtually every business metric demonstrates that our business is healthy. Gate receipts, merchandise sales and TV ratings are all at an all-time high. Franchise values have risen exponentially in recent years, and the NBA has enjoyed high single digit revenue growth since 2010-11.”
Make no mistake: both Silver and Roberts are negotiating in public, and setting the table for an ever-more-likely lockout/strike in 2017.
Roberts’s “facts” about the business are similar to points made in a Deadspin article about how owners can manipulate revenue to bypass the Collective Bargaining Agreement. She is arguing that there are numerous ways NBA owners can accumulate off-book profit from their teams, such as bamboozling municipalities into build them arenas and profiting from “arena revenues that are not included in BRI.” Even if teams are technically losing money, the argument goes, if you look at the whole enterprise, owners are not.
Four years ago, the owners locked the players out, and eventually won the lion’s share of concessions in the ensuing CBA. The biggest of these was a reduction of Basketball Related Income paid to the players from 57 to 50 percent; this came after the league claimed that 22 of 30 teams were losing money, and that the league as a whole was losing $300 million annually.
With the league performing so well—curiously, Silver’s statement came almost directly after he proclaimed that the long-term outlook of the league was very positive, and that “the league is very healthy”—it would seem natural that the players would seek a new, more favorable CBA at the first possible opportunity. That opportunity is after the 2016-17 season; either side can announce their intention to opt out by December 15, 2016.
statis22 You ready buddy?
That's what I'm saying, OKC has been great this whole time and had one of the worst coaches in sports.
This is also their first season with no Perk at all, I'm telling you they gonna set ****** on fire.
Isn't that an adjustment?Yea, I'm actually pretty scared about how good OKC may end up being next season without Scotty. Its so crazy that he was literally holding them back (along with the injuries).
Nah. OKC was about to lose and Scotty got desperate. He really made no adjustments unlike Kerr. He got desperate, played Adams thinking he could provide some sort of spark and it worked. Add to the fact that Adams rustled Zbo's jimmies and missed Game 7.

im scurred

The Grizz aren't doing themselves any favors either. The been real quiet this off season.
KD's foot, Ibaka's healthy, Westbrook accepting the pippen role, new system, and a new coach.
So many things have to go right for them to set the league on fire,
I think even OKC fans will tell you it wasn't . It was a desperation move because none of his other bigs were performing. If he made this move after Game 3 instead of waiting til an elimination game, then maybe you can call it that. Most coaches (if not all) make some sort of change to the lineup when facing elimination because its do or die.
Even though I'm not a big fan of our offseason (outside of re-signing Marc and getting Wright), we've got a lot of A's for offseason grades from some well respected columnists. That means something, I guess . I think a lot of them felt like we were good enough last season, but health took a huge toll on us. Adding Wright is definitely my favorite move outside of Marc. I guess Barnes is okay, but I'm still unhappy about our perimeter offensive talent. WE GON SEE
if healthy they have no reason to not be the best team in the league. That's what I'm saying, OKC has been great this whole time and had one of the worst coaches in sports.

I want the damn season to start!if healthy they have no reason to not be the best team in the league.
And The first round pick (Jarrell Martin) has a Jones fracture in his foot too. Yikes. Good luck.
