What if he plays well for 40 games and gets hurt?

We will straight up vote on it 50 + votes on if he is top 5

And I will actually post this year vs lurking like I have done since we switched to huddler? And I lost my og name

He wasn't very good but he was solid enough when you actually think about that he hasn't played in a NBA game for 3 years. To still be able to produce and put up 20ppg, you have to be impress at the very least... a tad bit? lol
At low efficiency there are a lot of PGs who could drop 20 if they took enough shots.  The Brandon Jennings, Reggie Jacksons of the world can all do that.

He's a fine starter though, yeah.

Mind you he averaged 20 and 6.5 fresh of surgery

i think the main reason I like conley and praise him so much is because of how trash he was and how much he's grown. Dude used to be so bad it was laughable. Like a school bus fire. He could've given up. Just turned into a smush parker type talent. Just a check collector. But MC put hella work in. Dude came back one summer a completely different player and has never looked back. I respect that. He's definitely top 10 with the way he runs his team and gets them all on one accord when he's on the court.

Kyrie is top 10, but near the bottom. imo based one what I look for in a point guard. I bet he wishes he was 3" taller so he could just be a 2. I think he'd be way more comfortable.

What makes Kyrie a top 10 PG?

Find two players on that list above that you would put over Kyrie.  That's what makes him a top 10 PG.  After 8 it really becomes a wash.

If anything, he's in that 8-10 range...but I wouldn't put up any argument for him if someone thinks someone like Dragic/Bledsoe/Jackson/etc. is better.

What makes Kyrie a top 10 PG?

you joking right?

I'm as serious as that tie yall had last year.

He can score at will, but that's about it. Too many holes in his game for me to definitively say that he's top 10 at the position. He's insanely overrated to me.

Dude said What makes Myrie a top ten PG :rollin :rollin

Fam he's top 5.

How trash he was and how much he's grown?

42%, 44%, 44%, 44%, 43%, 44%, 45%, 44%

His minutes went up, and with it, so did his stats. That's it. There is nothing else that screams "WOW, HE'S GROWN SO MUCH!" at all except for his 17 PPG outlier year... at age 26.

numbers dont tell the full story famo. had to watch the games. I watched a bunch of them. He was like a deer in the headlights a lot of nights. The way he's matured in his confidence and control of the game, his approach, its night and day.

So he stopped looking like a deer in the headlights and his stats marginally increased as he played more minutes.

Got it.

Kyrie isn't overrated, he's as elite as it gets as an isolation player and shooter.

He was literally better than every player in the league in ISO situations, Curry/Bron/Harden/CP3 everybody.

He shoots 41% from 3 at age 23.

He's still piss poor on defense, but offensively he's as good as it gets and will only get better.

If his position were sg though he would be top 5 no question though. Ftw I don't disagree I think he was super sayan Mo Williams last year

It's not just about numbers, it's about control. But okay.

So you think he's average? Not top 5? Who is above him beside Russ, Steph, cp3, and potentially wall?

And did it on way more shots than D. Rose and on a worse team. What's your point?

That averaging 17 and 5 in the East on 40% shooting and 28% from 3 isn't crazy.  The dude had a PER of 15.  Kobe's old crappy *** had a PER of 17.  That tells me that averaging 5 point ppg less while shooting 4 times a game less isn't a big deal.  Dude is 2 seasons away from become Rajon Rondo.

Which is what I said...he can score at will and is elite at that aspect of the game. However, there are SO many other nuances that go into playing the PG position. You can easily make an argument that it's the most complex position to play on the court. He leaves a lot to be desired with his defense, ability to run a team, etc.

If anything, he's in that 8-10 range...but I wouldn't put up any argument for him if someone thinks someone like Dragic/Bledsoe/Jackson/etc. is better.

Can't disagree w/ this.

Exactly. He's not top 5 and it's not out of the question to put guys like Dame, Kyrie, etc above him.

Where do you think Jeff Teague ranks?

So many nters are adept with calculators and twitter/blogs but don't really have an eye for the game
