You're super high on Utah so I don't see why the Kings can't be mentioned
Utah had the best defense in the league after they traded Kanter and went 19-10.
The Kings added Rondo and Marco Belineli.
Did that best defense in the league translate into a playoff berth? 11 of those 19 wins were against non-playoff teams. Sacramento x2, Knicks, Sixers, Nuggets x2, Lakers, Pistons, Hornets, Minny, OKC.
They definitely turned it around after trading my boy but who's to say their backcourt is going to take the next step? Very young team.
IMO, 7th & 8th spot in the West is a toss up right now. I don't see a clear cut favorite which is why I think the Kings have a shot if Karl can get everybody to buy in to his system.
he's an alcoholic and he needs help. you dont get 2 dui's and not have a problem.
As long as I'm in the league I wouldn't wear the jersey of someone who plays/played for another team. Even if it is the GOAT.Look at Lawson's Instagram. Certified cornball.
Who mans is this?
ppl who think like this. Ehh. Melo bron cp3 and wade on one team wouldn't work salary cap or not.this isn't 2k .Who wants to pay around 1Billion dollars for Melo, Bron, CP3 and Wade? Owners wouldn't even be able to afford signing guys like that with no cap, so I disagree wholeheartedly. Unless those guys all took discounts to play together, which would be admirable, right?
You're likely going to have to win at least 50 games to get the 8th seed in the West.
I don't know how anyone can definitively say that Utah can do that yet.
for how great and competitive the west is last years playoffs didnt have many great series.

Their backcourt wasn't even healthy while they were winning too, they did all that without their second option on the perimeter in Burks and he'll be back.
They have the best defensive front court in the league and they're going to get a full year to play together.
They got a guy who's 20/5/5 at the 3 and an above average 3pt shooter next to him, all of these guys are 24 years old or younger.
They have a talented coach who the best players actually buy into.
The pg position is ? mark but then again the Kings have Rondo.
I'd be higher on them if they just kept Collison who's better than Rondo at this point.
Kings will need a ton of things to go right for them to win 45 games, the Jazz just need to improve and stay healthy, I'm going with that.

Super teams like that don't work. Players with different roles are needed obviously. All kinds of superstars on a team wouldn't work. Still playing with only one ball
I'll see how well Utah can score the basketball first. I'm not confident in their PG position (which is important for a team that plays the slowest pace in the NBA). They are a good young team, but I also think they took a lot of teams by surprise last season. Last season was the year "no one took them seriously" and better teams will definitely be on the lookout for them and not take their games for granted. I really like their squad, but I don't know if they're playoff bound yet because I'm not a firm believer in their PG position. I also believe that their best two way players (Hayward, Favors) made their biggest leap last season. So, I'm expecting similar seasons from them. Gobert is the X factor. If he takes a giant leap next year, maybe my thought changes.
Cousins been in the league 5 years and I know he's hungry to win. Rudy is a much better player now and has won before. Rondo has won before and I'm trusting that he's not going to ruin the rest of his career by ******* up big time 2 seasons in a row. Karl also has won before and rarely misses the playoffs. Karl only missed the playoffs 3 times in his entire career? Not counting last season since he took over midseason. Its hard to bet against that and he has an above average rotation now to work with. Not saying SAC going to set the world on fire, but they definitely have the pieces to get the 8th seed. None of those guys in Utah's rotation have experienced any sort of success in the league, neither has their coach. The same cannot be said about Sacramento's rotation as funny as it may look. Experience does count for something.
its the olympics . kd , bron, wade and cp on a team would never work in the nba .besides cp it would just be a bunch of take turn isolation ball. we saw how well bosh , wade and lj worked. 2 rings outta 4 while excellent isnt exactly unstoppable. id like for the nba to not have a cap.It works during the Olympics. Now the question would be, salary issues aside, would it work w/ stronger competition? FIBA comp is nothing compared to NBA comp. U can have a slew of superstars on one team, they would just have to be different positions and check their egos. Melo of the 4 mentioned wouldn'tBut u replace him w/ KD and it could work. Cats know, let KD be the shooter, let Bron be the driver, let CP3 be the distributor, let Wade be the slasher.
pg playing pf? that sounds ridiculous really. the pacers are going to be a mediocre team .Thoughts on the Pacers?
Obviously they aren't a contender, but they had a weird offseason.
Lost West and Hibbert for basically nothing.
They add Myles, Monta, and bring back Stuckey.
They mention wanting to play smaller with PG playing PF.
I'm just not sure why they brought in Monta if they wanted to keep Stuckey.
A Stuckey/Monta/Hill rotation just seems weird to me.
