Half of yall acting like DJ some sort of genius that found out his evil agent was pushing him or some sort of genius that used Chandler and Cuban for hookers and food.

Nah. Dude is just stupid and easily influenced. :rollin
Yea he wasn't built to be a superstar mentally and everything that comes with it. Going into meetings with his eyes wide open.

combination of all of that. He is stupid. When you have a stupid person and an agent, which is essentially a lawyer, thats a bad combination for the stupid person

This stuff was absolutely hilarious today, but is DeAndre Jordan really that good of a player to justify all of this hooplah?  I mean were Dallas/LA thinkin this dude was the difference between rebuilding and being a contender?  i'm confuse

Hyland weak as hell for that. ***** move. Should have never agreed if you weren't sure. Disappointed in him.

Yea well 84M in Dallas is a whole hell of a lot better than 84M in Cali.

you're not looking at the big picture though. You're looking at it as an average Joe, no disrespect. You and I can't fathom passing up that type of money, but we;re also not looking at the type of money being thrown at him.

has there been a time where a team renege on an "agreement"

i think kings did that to iggy when he started shopping around a few yrs back

he was much more important to the Clippers than the Mavs. He was literally going to single handedly blow up the Clippers.

Doc would have been fired or mutually parted ways sometime during the next season or after.

CP3 or Blake or both would have asked to be traded.

It was going to get ugly for them.

Dallas will recover.

Look at DJ agent history before you criticize the man. He actually had the balls to make his own decision and go against his agents.

Slime ball was having fake reports of cp3 being put all out there :{ **** that dude

meh. i dont see a prob in DJ's actions. people get engaged and call off the wedding all the time. It's just business. It's not personal. He made a decision and then he changed his mind, before he ever signed anything legal, and then he made another decision. One of the laws of business, it's not real until you get the paperwork. You can't take anything that DJ said as law, if he was getting domed up from Dallas strippers and shooting the best coke in the city. If dude was pres, he'd give you launch codes in that position. Doesn't count.

Except he handled it like a female dog by not returning the Mavs' calls or attempts to get in touch with him. Act like a man and have the decency to say, "Hey you know what, I know I'm putting you in a tough spot but I had a change of heart and want to do what's best for me."

Changing his mind this late in the game was bad enough but he handled it like a HS girl giving her ex the silent treatment.

For LAC yes. CP is only getting older and both him and blake are approaching free agency semi soon. With no ability to replace DJ with any sort of competence, they felt he was worth all of this because without him, they aren't true contenders.

i need Derrick Williams to back out of his deal

Do you guys realize how badly this sets the Mavs franchise behind?

I mean, I really don't feel bad because it helps the Lakers.

But does DeAndre realize how badly he just screwed them? They didn't even try keeping Tyson because of him. I mean they legit lost out on everyone because of him... It's pretty messed up :\
