Couple early predictions...

Sadly, I think the Spurs will disappoint :{. Counting on a washed Tony Parker and 40 year old Timmy is uncharted territory. Still think they finish with a top 4 seed in the west...but exit in round 1 or 2. Age is undefeated...it'll likely show for the GOD Timmy this year smh.

James Harden will regress and average about 21ppg on bad percentages. While Dwight averages around 18 & 12 again. I think the Rockets regress slightly to like a 5/6 seed...and not a real threat.

Warriors good fortune from last year won't carry over. Literally everything went right for them in 14-15. Still, they will be one of the top 3 Teams in the west.

Clippers make it to the WCF. They get a 2 seed and favorable matchup come playoff time. Jamal Crawford is traded before the deadline for stability and shooting. Wes Johnson surprises people, and Paul Pierce plays his age. Lance is also better, but expendable.

Brad Beal takes a huge step forward. Averages about 18-20 Ppg on 44/40/82 splits. Wizards finish 3rd or 4th in the East with close to 50 wins.

Jabari Parker starts out slowly, but by all star break, he's comfortable and showcases why I believe he's one of the 5 best young up and coming players in basketball.

Stan Van works his magic and has Detroit winning about 43 games. KCP surprises some people...Jennings is dealt or malcontent. Reggie Jackson plays better than expected.

Trey Burke becomes a competent PG and learns to finish better at the rim. Utah Wins 45 games...finishes with the 8th seed and gets swept by OKC or the Clips in round 1

Man did I just see somebody say the Wolves will challenge the Pelicans for the 8th seed? :lol

Paul Pierce Doesn't Want Teammates Wearing LeBron James' Shoes

Paul Pierce is the realest. Bron era ending soon come, thankfully. Reign on the top was short like leprechaun.

"usual ball stopper shtick" :rolleyes

I assume you're one of those "ADavis is the second coming fans". Hate to burst your bubble but T-Wolves have a better TEAM than the Pelicans.

1. Thunder isn't going to the WCF. Two great players, but the system continues to rely on those two only.

2. Rockets will do good in the 2nd half as they're getting used to the chemistry of Lawson & Harden creating.

3. Spurs will be hurting teams but they may find some hurting themselves as injuries will take it's toll on aging players, especially signs from Tony Park whom has played horrible in the Euro-tournament.

4. Lakers will be close to making the playoff but will fall short to the 10th spot at seasons end.

5. Anthony Davis will have a break out year. He will be unstoppable this season as he will have a healthy season.

6. Warriors will reach the WCF.

7. Clippers will reach the WCF. Paul Pierce is the Truth.. Jordan will be a lot better at Free Throws this season.

8. Kings make the playoffs, as Portland will not see the playoffs for 5 years.

9. Nuggets will make trades and go younger as Mudiya becomes the Rookie of the Year.

East

1.Cavaliers will take 1-3rd seed as Lebron will finally get the rest he needs. I believe Love will finally fine satisfaction in how he is now being used and plays good. Thompson will want more minutes. Kyrie won't play until late December-January.

2. Hawks won't repeat who they were last year. They will at least get 5th seed.

3. Wizards will do good but they lost a big clutch player who helped them win games last year. 4th seed at best. Barring injuries, Beal may have a good year but still won't live up to expectations of NT. John Wall plays another great season. Dudley find himself a very nice role. Nene will regress more so than before.

4. Bulls will make it to the ECF healthy, now that Hoiberg is the new coach. Butler will prove himself of his hard work ethics and handle the ball more than ever before. Rose will finally not be as ball-dominant as he used to be. Mirotic will be a problem against opposing teams.

5. Kyle Lowry is the leader of the Raptors and with Carroll, they may finally have their glue guy.

6. Bucks will be top 5 in defense but floor spacing will be an issue. Teams will not want to go easing on the Bucks. #FearTheDeer

7. Hornets will make the playoff. Eventually, Jeremy Lin will outplay Kemba walker and may take the starting PG position.

8. Miami Heat will deliver and possibly make the ECF. Miami will face Cavaliers in the 2nd Round Playoff

9. Knicks will miss the Playoffs again.

So the worst team in the league last season is now better than the 8th seeded team in the west because they added Towns? :lol

You're crazy fam.

Yes AD is the second coming but even without him the Pelicans are better than the Wolves.

Bold pre's:

Detroit/Sac make playoff's, possibly challenge for top six in their conference

Bucks don't make jump, end up around 6-8 if they make the Playoffs; Knicks/Pacers challenge for entry level seeds

Heat/Rockets Finals.

Derrick had Joakim laughing at him at the :30 second mark.

Some people get quiet when they get nervous.
Obviously Derrick isn't one of those guys.
He blabs and blabs and blabs and blabs and blabs and blabs when nervous.
He should have stopped at "I've had tunnel vision as far as working out"

Instead he nervously rambles on about him being financially secure.

You can hear the look and surprise in that reporters voice? He prompted the reporter to say shockingly "you're already thinking about free agency?"

man please Reggie f'n Jackson just got paid 80 million.

Brook Lopez just got 20 million per yeaf

Kris Middleton just got 70 millions.

Kyle Singler just got 25 millions.

alot of fans are so brainwashed by these franchise owners to think theses players are selfish and should take less money...

players should always get their money always.

players should talk that **** and stand behind it.

wonder what harrison will get. think he gets near max from some other team

jeremy lin may as well dye his hair blonde and committ to the dragon ball hair style

Agreed.

At the end of the day, it is a business and you as a player IS the business. Not to mention, the Agent of the players get a cut too.

I don't see what's wrong with setting up his child for abundance of fortune unlike his dad.

Sure, he haven't played for two years but was that his fault? not at all. He could've played at some point but what's the point of playing at 65% when you'll injure yourself again, like 2012.

Then you become damaged good and become Brandon Roy.

exactly dudes in here want him to play the PC role when in reality he knows hes gonna get paid and should with all that damn money being passed out. F that.

With NT Logic, if they were sitting in that seat in the same scenario as Rose, they probably would pass up on that money because they felt guilty that they "Robbed" the BUSINESS for not playing and they want to give some back or take a lesser amount. Feeling remorseful for something they had no control of. Beta mentality.

A legendary basketball career may not mean the world to Derrick Rose as much as financial stability, when you grew up in poverty and violence everyday and your moms working two jobs while your dad left your family at a young age.

That's Logic.

Unfortunately for Mr Second coming, as you call him, NBA is a TEAM sport and the Pelicans aren't a good one. Stat stuffing doesn't impress me. Winning does.

Towns. Wiggins. Zach looked great this summer.

Add Rubio, who’s top 5 best passers and you have a decent TEAM.

With veteran leadership from Garnet and AMiller, they're certainly better than the Pelicans aka ADavis & 4 guys.

T-Wolves > Pelicans

I don't have a problem with what he said, it's the when... I mean, it was completely unsolicited. Media didnt try him, there was no reason for him to bring that it up right then. Comes out to sound like "I'm not thinking about the team right now", while that is okay... It comes off as a bit arrogant

you smoking dope. Rubio is trash and one of the worst shooters in the league

the 3 young guys you named will be good but are way too young right now to make the major difference in the shift of the Western Conference

and i cant even believe you brought up KG and AMillers as guys you think make the Twolves better then NO

stop it, your bias is clearly showing.

hell i think Jazz> wolves

maybe even Phx better too

who cares man...nobody on this site personally knows him. im pretty sure his teammates know where they stand with him.

It wasn't the right setting, either he knew and didn't care... or he just didn't care. I would wonder what type of statement he was trying to make... might mean nothing, but... don't know that

I wouldn't want my team giving rose a big contract . We know his work ethic is lousy and how slow he comes back from injuries . Easy pass . Don't want that type on my squad ...

I don't have a problem with Rose wanting his money BUT his timing is bad....the come up plan works a lot better without putting that pressure on yourself because now you are just giving the front office ammo to turn against you if they aren't already.

I respect his honesty though :lol he keeps it candid.
