Yes. And anyone that thinks Clarkson is anywhere close to that is out of their damn mind, he can be a decent backup PG, but that's about it. I'm sure they want to keep him around, but not as a starting PG of the future, which is why they're going to pursue a starter in FA.

Towns wouldn't stop the Lakers from going after Gasol or Jordan..

Towns has the versatility to play the 4 as well as the 5.

Okafor, on the other hand, would prevent that. Because he's a C only.

But there's no reason to draft based on "Who you think you can get in Free Agency." because it's a moot point, and no reason to think they could get Gasol or Jordan at this point. No reason for anybody to think they can get him reasonably... LMA maybe, but if Aldridge is really available.. Towns or Okafor do not prevent them from taking LMA in FA, who can play the 4 and in spots play the 5.

Would still allow them to get Randle the minutes he would need.





In order for Mudiay or Russell to go 1 or 2, they'd have to have such ridiculous workouts that it's undeniable to take them 1 or 2. Why? Because NBA-game unseen, Towns & Okafor are just that much better than the entire pack.

If Mudiay or Russell did have an amazing workout, we'd hear about it.

There is no way Gasol is leaving Memphis for LA. That's not going to happen. And why would Dreandre Jordan switch locker rooms like that? He's already in the better LA team.

Okafor/ Towns will be the only legit C they will get this year. and that's already a major upgrade. A Towns/ Okafor, Clarkson, Randle core is nice.

Yall taking Embiid over Towns even with his injury concerns? All things even, I agree. Embiid is far and away the superior prospect. But as of right now I'm taking Towns until I know that foot injury don't have lingering effects
