The knicks were also a joke. Milwaukee was actually trying to make the playoffs when they got jabari and the wolves were riddled with injuries. It was also kinda shady how they traded McDaniels to a team where he couldn't get off the bench and earn his money but that's a risk he took. There is such a thing as good and bad karma, it's not just same quack idea
How do you "try" to make the playoffs and end up with 15 wins?
What went wrong: Everything. Everything went wrong. Injuries, bad signings, bad play, bad coaching, bad everything. The Bucks tried to build themselves to be a playoff team last offseason, adding players and making deals. But it all blew up completely in their faces and they quickly dissolved into one of the three worst teams in the league.

Right...because signing OJ Mayo and trading for Knight screams playoffs.
At the end of the day...they ended up worse than the team you're criticizing for tanking and they reaped the benefits of a high draft pick just the same. so again, what difference does it make?
Prediction time: How far will the Bucks go this season?
Arnovitz: I've got them as a playoff team, either as the No. 7 or No. 8 seed, but they don't have the firepower offensively to score on a Miami, Chicago or Indiana defense in a seven-game series.
Chau: Not far enough. The Bucks will narrowly miss the playoffs, which unfortunately means no one on the roster will be able to continue Jennings' lasting legacy of predicting a 4-2 series win over the Heat in the first round.
Ford: I think a lot of people think the Bucks will be awful this season. I don't. I think they have a real shot at a 7- or 8-seed in the East. They have a deep bench and a good mixture of vets and young players. If their young guys step up, they'll surprise a lot of people.
Herbert: The Bucks will be fighting for a playoff berth with the other Eastern Conference teams in transition years. They'll be in the race to the end, but will likely miss out and find themselves with another late lottery pick.
Schmidt: Playoffs. The bottom of the East is weak enough that teams like the Bucks will be able to avoid any long losing streaks. Milwaukee should have a defense good enough to keep them in most games and shooting that could win them a couple of unexpected games. If they have just enough good luck, the No. 7 seed will be in play.
I know, it's so funny^^ your avy is the definiton of rebuilding gone wrong and just straight up unlucky
What do hey have to show for it, besides Noel?
The funny thing about the Philly tank is they get WORSE every year, and there collection of talent decreases. Trading MCW & McDaniels hurt them because those were two young, quality NBA players with upside. Never heard of a NBA rebuilding team trading assets!
It's been happening for 2 years and they have a one win difference between both years. Worse every year?
How long is it that you dudes think this has been going on?
If you're goal is to rebuild idk why you would even want to risk being good and messing up your chance to draft the best overall talent.
Basically. Dudes are really making a big deal about Philly, when in BOTH seasons of their tanking...3 teams managed to have records worse than them. Milwaukee in 13-14, and Minnesota and New York this year.
How come they aren't being killed in here like Phila is?
Basically agree with that. You can rebuild and still -try- to be competitive. It's one thing to win 25 games with a mix of vets and young guys. Come into the season with hopes of improving, developing a handful of guys, etc. Lakers, Magic, Celtics, Minnesota have done this. Milwaukee is another. It's another thing to field a D-league team with one or two POTENTIAL NBA players. There is a middle ground between what Philly did and being a perennial 8th seed.
Hopefully with this pick, Embiid/Saric coming in - Philly decides to atleast start picking up NBA players and letting these rooks play with some sort of structure and veteran guidance.
Minnesota did it and still ended up with a record worse than Philly...so what difference does it make how they go about it?
Phila is going about it all wrong, Timberwolves dealt with injuries, Milwaukee made the playoffs this season and the knicks were screwed into this situation but at least they are trying to be competitive
MGM and Leemealone got the idea, of at least attempting to be competitive, signing free agents that can help your team, not trading some of the only assets yalll got and so on
Are you kidding me? The knicks sat their superstar as soon as they found out they didn't have a chance and traded away half their starters for circus peanuts. At least Philadelphia got a good first round pick out of the MCW trade. What did the Knicks get for JR and Shumpert? A second rounder? What they did was just as bad if not worse than what the Sixers have been doing.
Embiid? The guy who has never touched a NBA court & just had an announcement of having a setback just YESTERDAY? And D'Angelo Russell who isn't even on the roster yet? Good sir you have a bit TOO MUCH faith. Embiid sat out the entire year. He could come back and dominate like Blake Griffin, or fall apart like Greg Oden, with the latter becoming more likely after yesterday.
What do hey have to show for it, besides Noel?
Embiid and soon to be D'Angelo Russell. which was the point.
Tank and stockpile high lottery picks.
What part of that don't ya'll understand?
For the 15th time, rebuilding is not a 1-2 year process...and they just finished year 2. Ya'll are acting like they've been doing this for the past 5-10 years or something.
Rubio is 24 years old and Kris Middleton is 23 years old. When did this become "let's compare assets"? We're talking the past two seasons...why are you bringing up Rubio, Middleton, etc.?
They sat Carmelo as soon as they found out he was hurt, and the they are still recieving criticism for that trade of shump and JR, but they havent been as bad as Philly
And goin forward they most likely will make more moves to better than roster than Philly but only time will tell, so we gotta see how this offseason goes
Bruh...they finished WORSE than Philly. what are you talking about?
Milwaukee's young assets - Jabari Parker, MCW, Greek Freak, Middleton, Henson, Tyler Ennis
Minnesota's young assets - Wiggins, LaVine, Anthony Bennett, Rubio, Gorgui Dieng, Shabazz Muhammad, Adreian Payne (maybe???)
Philadelphia's young assets - Nerleans Noel, Jerami Grant (maybe???)
Work on your comprehension skills. You asked a question and I answered it.
You asked what did they have to show for? And since you're being literal...replace D'Angelo Rusell with "TOP 3 PICK" and my statement still stands.
Ya'll are acting like they're supposed to field a great team after two seasons.
At the end of the day...they're doing what EVERY TEAM that has done a full rebuild had to do...except they're just blatantly doing it.
