noel is gonna be more like an okafor, but more athletic. hes gonna average maybe 12ppg, 10rpg, and 2+ blocks. centers dont really have much of an impact in the east, but it would be nice to see him be a deandre jordan type instead of okafor.

Nah, Nerlens is trash. If he wasn't 7'0, UK wouldn't have scouted him. If he can't score on Kelly Olynyk & Jared Sullinger, that's how you know your trash. Defensively, I can understand someone being high on Nerlens.

At his peak he'll be a 16 & 8 guy at the most.

I know it mentioned staying healthy to be good(which they didn't stay healthy) but no-where did it say the Lakers were as good as the Spurs.

He said the Lakers would compete for a top 5 seed and implied they could compete with the Spurs. They could've had all the health in the world and still wouldn't have been remotely close to that level.

Crazy how he looked like he was right back at Kansas. Impressive since it was his first pre-season game in the pros. I can't get over how much it looked like he was back in college. Same plays, same type of getting into the lane and drawing a ton of foul shots. Same subpar shooting but yet found ways to impact the game.. defensively and in transition.

He and LeBron.. and that squad would have been so much fun to watch. Oh well.

You're Laker myopia became more than I could handle.

And OK, you've seen 5 championships, but today's Lakers fans tend to claim all 16 like they were around for all of them.

Winning championships is hard. There's lots of teams in the league that haven't done it or only done it once. I don't think just because you chose to root for one of the more successful NBA franchises, it gives you a right to hold history against everyone else. But whatever makes you feel better.
