The 2012 NFL Draft Thread, 4/26 8EST/5PST Vikings are on the clock

I reaaaally hope the Bengals are desperate to move up to #5 for Trent Richardson and trade us both their 1st rounders. Dont'a Hightower and Kendall Wright with the 17 and 21

When is the last time that Mike Brown has traded up in the draft? That is not going to happen at all. Sorry.

One of the dumbest things I have read.  Dude didn't leave because of eligibility issues, he is going to be a 1st round pick and nobody in their right mind would have thought he was going there 4 years.  Add to that a new coaching staff there would be no point in staying.  I think Baltimore picks him and he learns from Ray this year, perfect situation for him.

I want to see LaMichael on the Giants just for the fact ! but it'll be interesting to see where him & Trent go.

It is now, officially, Draft Season.

Patriot fans are down today, but should feel better knowing they have FOUR picks in the first 63 with 2 1's and 2 2's.
sick.gif
In a mock I am working on, I have them getting Barron S, Branch DE, Worthy DT, and Streeter WR.
indifferent.gif
If they pull anything remotely close to those 4, I will kick somebody's dog in my neighborhood.

Giants, you just killed 2 TE's to win the Super Bowl, for that, I am giving you Orson Charles in the 2nd round.  A new toy for Eli.

Duck fans that hate me, I tried to be as fair as I could, I give LaMichael a mid 3rd round grade, and have him to the Jets.  Replaces LT, as well as keeps me hating him for all time, and thouroughly enjoying seeing him fail at the next level.
laugh.gif
I also have Cliff Harris going to the Saints in round 3, just because he's fast and someone will buy his speed.

Skins, I gave you Tannehill in round 2, but I have read people that think Tanne could go to the Skins in round 1.  (6)  If he goes at 6.......
30t6p3b.gif
That's an incredible leap of faith, but I guess I can't be too surprised, Ponder, Locker, and Gabbert all got in the top 12, QB's make teams do all kinda crazy @#$% I guess.

this is true.. but the reason i posted it, was because of what was discussed above..

this ALL just speaks to the larger issues with him.. he has all the talent in the world, but is he going to put in the work to succeed AND not be a detriment to his team on the field

So many rumors out there.
Skins looking at peyton manning, skins looking to some how get drew brees.  I really want a new qb this year weather we go after Flynn, or orton, rex grossman isn't the answer.

But all of this scares me when it comes to the draft.  If we draft Tanne in the first round i hope we trade down for more picks and get him late first.  Obviously i want RG3 more then any FA or draft qb (andrew luck aside) but i hope snyder doesn't trade our entire draft away to move up to #2 to beat the browns to him.  Just take Claiborne and Tanne in 2nd il call it a good draft.

dont see how this could possible happen.. dont see him slipping THAT much (IF it at all)

but anyways:

ryanlownes Ryan Lownes
The player-team combo you're not hearing a lot about at this point: Justin Blackmon to the #Eagles. Excellent fit if he slips. #NFLDraft

this guy has alshon rated over him (and a couple of other unusual choices with his rankings):
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...op-100-prospects-heading-into-the-nfl-combine

^ i know.. but dude went out of his way with some of his rankings..

anyways, i call eagles for the mock draft (we need to get the ball rolling on this btw).. hopefully we can get 2 good ones in this year a PRE and POST combine NT NFL draft

Wow, that's crazy

I was surprised Adcock, Henry and Fletcher didn't get invites.

What is it that would make those guys not get invited?  Some of those guys are going to get drafted, why no invite?

If Vikings trade down to the Skins at 6. The vikings should trade down with Cincy for their 2 first rounders. If it works like that. My Vikings will have 2  1st rounders and 2 2nd Rounders

Wishful thinking

Like the concept, but not with #17 being the first draft selection for the Vikes, if I read that right.
