but also fashion isnt just one set of rules. it varies from person to person, with their personalities and body types. one person might not be able to rock an outfit the same way another can.

Im sorry my man, I can't. You don't know HOW many PMs I have piling up in that inbox, I'm still answering messages I got a year ago. I'll get around to it.. eventually... Anyways, I didn't want to hijack this thread. Back to street culture.
Fall of Rome Jeans?
- Neighborhood shirt?
- Eddie Chin clock?
- City (?) candles?
- Maharishi sandals?
- Purple Murder surface samples?
- Junya Wantanabe?
- Yohji Yamamoto?
- Mackro Solo?
- Guilty Brotherhood Polos?
- Montblanch pens?
- Moleskine paper?
- Goyard bags?
- Monocle magazine?
- Futura Nas Feratus?
- HTM trainers?
given how you spelt the majority of those (at lesat the ones i'm familiar with ) correctly, i figure you know what's up/are familiar. But,"Eddie Chin Clock" - he says "eddie chen clot @%+*". Eddie Chen being Edison Chen (of the sex scandal and recent Stussy Model) and hisbrand Clot.
IMO Clot is pretty whack and lack's any identity or ...focus it's like they have a bunch of money, couple designers and just print a couple shirts ata screen printer.
Regarding the topic at hand, I'm more interested in what's (directly) influencing street culture/street fashion (however you wanna say it), and thetrends inspiring designers. I find it reallly intersting, that almost everything is cyclic and street culture/fashion is one of the "fashionsegments" that cis almost like...music. where they "sample" bits and pieces (ie. technical wear, formal wear, the designs on graphic tees) andput it all together. what do I think is hot? I alaywas thought any thing clean was...

what are you talking about? skateboarding hasn't given street culture anything. it is hip hop that is stimulating the street culture. nowand days you see skateboarders sagging their pants wearing street brands.Originally Posted by bobbytripledigits

street culture? or streetwear?Originally Posted by bobbytripledigits
Then you aren't familiar with what authentic street culture is and where it came from. Yes, hip-hop has its place in street culture, but skateboarding is actually one of the legs on which street culture was built on, and stands on.Originally Posted by bangtcg

I hung out with a few skaters in my original town I grew up in but I don't know what they contributed to street culture... and yes I've seen people skate in bedstuy and such.
