I love this show
Born in 86 and grew up as a kid watching all the classic 80 films this show referenced
Best parts were all the scenes the kids were involved in, they were all fantastic
Can't wait for season 2
After It Follows and Stranger Things, hopefully more horror and sci films use synths

More than likely if the tone of the film doesn't resonate with you, you won't like it as much, like it's just another plain story to you if you're not familiar with its influences from the 80s.

That's gotta be what it was. Looking back it wasn't bad I just wasn't really into it. Felt like they coulda went a lil more into the government people.

makes sense. Little was shown regarding the gov't organization, however I think we will get more answers for the next season.
I think the writers and directors did it purposely - to give little to the audience, so that we will still have many questions for the next season.

The interview I posted, the show creators said it just made more sense and was more realistic that she'd be with steve again. They didn't want to be tv show predictable and have her be with the other guy.
