Wife took a creep shot. I keep telling her I'm not big and need to add more size. Lol

Urijah Faber is a grown *** man at 135lbs.

He is not big but definately cut. How tall is he? I'm guessing he is short because he doesn't look like a 135 pounder. A person that weighs 135lbs at 5'11" against a person that weighs 135lbs at 5'5" will look alot skinnier/smaller in comparison.

60lbs is A LOT of mass you need to gain to your 140lb frame. How many months are you giving yourself to accomplish this? You better eat alot of carbs/calories and protein shakes. Forget the word "lean" for the next several months meaning cardio and core should not be the main of your focus. Gaining the amount of muscle mass you want to put on your frame is going to give you weight on your mid section so if you notice a bit of a gut coming on, don't worry about it. You can burn that off once you get done with bulking. If some cardio is a must for you, I'd do mild pace walk on an incline on a threadmill or stair master. Alot of cardio will eat away at the mass you are trying to build so no heavy cardio training while on bulking. That would defeat alot of your purpose. EAT EAT EAT!!!!
THIS

i dont have a time frame. i started bulking last july. i started at 118 so i was even smaller back then. i was 5'10" so i grew an inch since i started lifting

i know its gonna take a long time to get there but i dont mind it

i noticed a little gut but its nothing serious

its def possible to gain that much weight but its gonna take long and should be done correctly.

He is pretty spot on with this, hit all the points I would. Forget lean mass for now-- eat eat eat, stay away from cardio, and train your a** off.  I started at 145 ish / 5'9 when I was 21, I'm now going on 26. Summer of 2011 when I herniated a disc I was up to 190- topped at 193. It is definitely possible, but like everyone said, it takes time.

burpees, burpee bar muscle ups, and double unders today for Crossfit. This should be fun...

ksteezy, I've felt that soreness before as well after thrusters. The force from your legs during the squats is transferred to the upper body thru your lower back throughout the movement so it is natural to feel something.

It's crazy what a pump, good lighting and some oil/sweat will do for you, not to downplay his physique doe.

Urijah is solid though. Meet him a couple times and although dude is short as hell, he is built tough.

Finally got to work out my lower back properly. Definitely scared of deadlifts so instead I did top-half deadlifts with a pretty light weight. My core needs work so anything is a good workout. Felt so good activating those muscles. :smokin

Finally started to go ham after being limited for a variety of reasons. Eating right, lots of protein, fruits and vegetables. A TON of water. Lifting consistently. For the first time in awhile, I feel great.

Bros anyone experience muscle soreness in their lower back after thrusters?....lol did 50 of the (45lbs) in about 4 minutes and my low back is sore as hell, not like "crap I pulled something" more like "holy *** that work out was really good" just want to make sure this is the muscle group I was suppose to be working...lol I felt my form through the front squat was great...

might be because your elbows aren't high enough on the front squat, causing you to lean forwards, putting pressure on your lower back.

my WOD:

1 mile run
60 pullups
30 HSPU

should be fun

I've seen Uriah Faber a couple times around town recently and I would say he walks around at 155-160ish

went ham on my legs today. making up for last week since i couldnt finish legs back then

that feel when you walk home from the gym on leg day and it looks like you were raped in your angus

How often do you do this? In the article I think it said he does it twice a month. Would twice a week work or this that too much?

I'm doing the 6 weeks to superhero program and thinking about incorporating this into my workout after that.

Personally, I don't think I would want to do this more than twice a month. Obviously, it depends on your program and goals and whatnot, but doing this with thrusters Or even front squats utilizes pretty much everything in your body in terms of muscle activation so I would really discourage doing these and hitting the gym again the next day. My idea would be to do these on a Friday as the last thing before taking the weekend off. These should leave your body in shambles for a few days. It's meant to basically Max your body out

Thrusters, if done properly with an erect back, will hit all up and down your back, especially in the lower parts. Truth be told, most people's back is underworked and so you'll really feel it there after burning through these. Even with a strong back, it's actually probably the muscle being stressed the most in this workout.

I looked through some of the mobility wod videos. Some good stuff. But way too much info to cram in at once. Any staple mobility work I should always keep in mind?

Hey guys hope you killed your workouts today. Just finished up chest, still trying to figure out how to post up pics on here Lol (if someone wants to pm?) so till then I started a instagram if you want check out progress: instagram.com/123_Kidd

Getting ready for my cut in about 3 weeks, so just packing on as much as possible.

Cinco, or anyone else

What are you eating on a typical day? Map out each meal.

I have started Paleo as of Sunday.

Also, some Paleoians eat Oats and Peanut Butter and some don't. What do you do?

And what have you read about using Paleo to bulk?

I hate these comments. You put a ton of people in those same conditions and they won't look anything like that lol

Well, keto is a close cousin , but doesn't prohibit the "processed" goodies. Keep in mind I also do IF, so I may not be of much help as far as meal planning.

Just now , I'm finishing my first true meal which consisted of 6 eggs, 4 slices bacon, and a chicken sausage with 120g spinach on the side. Earlier I had 185g cauliflower "rice" with Mrs.Dash and cayenne powder. I'm not even halfway to my caloric macros, need to think of stuff to scarf down before I hit the sack :lol

Been spending at least 30 minutes a day on the speed bag, sometimes more. Possibly my favorite workout, aside from going through a serious basketball workout. Much more gratifying than lifting.
