Yo Sunt Mike did you go TTS with the Metcons? I went .5 down and I double sock to make sure they don't move.

A week off work and I'm getting fat. :lol ok time to chill on the food. Crazy how much your activity level plays a part in metabolism.
 
What's your weight class?
I don't compete yet but right now I'm 195, probably would go down to the 85k class

Man there are people are my gym who oly all the time and don't hit those numbers, myself included lol

If you can do full cleans and snatches, I'm willing to wager you can do something like 335 and 240. My guess. Don't know your one rep numbers for power.
No clue where I'm at right now but thanks to going crazy on squats these last couple months and daily mobility hopefully my numbers went up

i went TTS because that's all they had at the employee store when my homie was there. i wanted .5 down but they didn't have any at the time [emoji]128549[/emoji]
 
I went TTS with my Metcons and at first the heel slip bothered me but as I broke them in I dont really notice it anymore. I tried on a half size down just for comparison and it felt a TAD tight but probably woudve broken in nicely. I wear Nike Elite socks 90% of the time anyway so the thicker socks help a lot.

My Trigger Point Grid foam roller came in and this joint feels way nicer than the foam ones my gym has. Read that you arent "suppose" to foam roll your lower back unless youre somewhat accustomed to foam rolling and keep a tight core otherwise its more harmful than good but even before I read that I would roll my lower back and its felt amazing ever since. I almost never wake up with a sore lower back anymore.

Really don't like the feel of my metcons. I have two pairs and probably only wore both twice each Lol. Don't think I will ever get over the heel slip.

Since I'm exclusively weightlifting now, they're collecting dust since all I use are my Romaleos now

Anyone follow the works of Mike Matthews? Was recommended his books and site/blog by a friend in my gym.

Wanted a consensus on him before I potentially waste any time reading.
 
I've been hitting the gym before 12/1 p.m. everyday for the past 2-3 weeks.
today I didn't and I need to go... can't find the energy to go at 4 30....I dont know how I ever worked out so late

That's me. I go on my lunch break because after a long day of work and Austin traffic, I have zero motivation.
 
I go with my boy during the day but he drags me down so I started dogging him and I go between 9pm-12am. :lol

I don't really like hitting the gym with anyone unless they are ready to kill themselves with gainz.
 
Yeah until they get tired 20 minutes into it and act like a coward. :lol

Now that i dont really go for power anymore the need for a partner is nil
 
Yeah I don't give a damn. If I got to do a roll of shame on bench I do a roll of shame. Never tipped over squatting so I'm doing good there. :lol
 
Never been a big fan of having a true workout partner were you do everything together. Maybe just some bench and spot each other or a big drop set or something.  I like it when I don't have any friends in there actually otherwise it gets distracting at some points. 
 
Certain times and depending on what it is, sure I'd love to have a workout partner..


But other than those, just role solo like always
 
Ive always messed with quest bars because they were all I knew

Tried some MP Combat bars a few days in a row and there low-key crushing Quest bars

muscle pharm put out some new bars called mission 1. some other bars you should also try are the robert irvine fit elite or the oh yeah one bars. i like the oh yeah one lemon cake, peanut butter pie, and birthday cake flavors.
