Considering that Warner Bros. owns DC, no.Good news! I'm eager to see the next trilogy.
Not to derail the thread with wild speculation on a tangent, but if Disney makes enough money from this deal over the next 10 years, can't you see them making the ultimate power move and scooping up DC Comics? Imagine that...
I'm not saying there isn't good material. I'm talking about it being translated in to film. In the general sense, the story of the last 3 wasn't bad since if you told anyone that it'd be about how Darth Vader became Darth Vader everyone would be interested but the acting was bad, dialogue was bleh, pacing, it had Jar Jar Binks in it, etc.The franchise was already ruined with the last 3 episodes. Maybe Disney can improve and make some better flicks but I'm not all that interested yet.
Read the books. Heir to the Empire. Start right there. Then call me back. You'll be interested IMMEDIATELY.
^ Not necessarily. I don't know what the internal ownership structure is within LucasFilm, but I doubt Lucas owns a 100% stake in the company.
Anyway...
So much for Episode VII coming from the expanded-universe?

Well, that is something then... I figured he might have had a few business partners over the years (like Kathleen Kennedy) who might have acquired a stake over the years.Oh no...he's 100% owner.
Considering that Warner Bros. owns DC, no.
Well, they'll just buy Warner Bros.
How does Star Wars have a monthly magazine?
Warners is owned by Time Warner.. I highly doubt one of the world's biggest media conglomerates would sell their entire film subsidiary to one of their biggest competitors.Well, they'll just buy Warner Bros.Considering that Warner Bros. owns DC, no.

not sure where you guys get your info or how you make assumptions on what you think you know. Prior to the sale, Lucas was sole owner of LucasFilm. Even before the sale was being thought about, Lucas was appointing Kennedy as Chair so he could basically retire. I honestly think LucasFilm will have the same autonomy that Pixar's had. Relax with all the assumptions...There is precident under Disney...
Damn I'm glad you guys don't run businesses...
