The other piece I keep waiting for is Abeloth. I wonder if/when she gets brought in.

Same with The Vong. Now that we've explored other galaxies, there's a path to introduce them.

Thing is, this can go forever.

We have this era of Mando, Grogu, Ahsoka, Thrawn etc.

Using only evidence that Disney has shown use for the past decade since acquiring the franchise, I wouldn't count on that. Maybe an easter egg or two, or some mental gymnastics from a youtuber prely for content. But I'm not holding my breathe for any of those.

Filoni being able to bring back Thrawn is the one bone og fans get.

I don't see how that could be possible tho. They gonna spend multiple decades focused only on the Clone Wars era, and then the post RotJ era, and thassit? Old Republic was a hugely popular era/game with fans, and there are so many paths they could follow and not have to tie every God damn thing to Luke or Anakin.

Based solely on a one-person focus group consisting of my 5 year old nephew, Disney doesn’t need all Star Wars content to be Skywalker-liked anymore.

He loves anything with the Star Wars name on it, regardless of the characters.

I was listening to the Bald Moves podcast and they were talking about the path Disney should take when creating SW content and the demographic and i lightweight agreed with them.

- Kids content
- General Audience content (this is where most of their content should live)
- Deep lore/more adult content (like Andor).

The kids and deep lore should dabble into the general audience content when applicable.

They probably explained it better than I can, but in concept i think it makes sense.

Right. If Disney can put out R-rated Marvel content like Deadpool, seems like they should be able to do the same thing with SW. Not a huge part of the catalogue, but an option.

I think after Filoni wraps up his Post-OT story with the movie, the main focus with be Acolyte/High Republic times and post-ST with Rey. They’ll continue to cherry pick from legends with certain characters and some story elements but I see them focusing on these two timelines.

I’d be surprised if they continue to let Dave cook here and have three timelines concurrently running though. But ultimately, that’s up to Disney to decide on.
