No offense but you only liking one of those movies says more about your taste in cinema than it does about the quality of the films.

He also thinks that SW is a rip off of Star Trek, cuz George said it was influence......like 2 years ago, at a Star Trek function.

Even tho I showed him proof that Trek only kicked into action AFTER Star Wars blew up.

Bless his heart tho runnin his mouth about stuff he knows absolutely nothin about. Then comin in here lookin for answers, so he can watch the 7th installment, and still not know or understand what he's seein.

Truth is sunshine, there's WAY too much history out there, both active and inactive, across multiple forms of media for you to get short answers to your questions and still get everything. I've devoured tons of this franchise for 25+ years and still don't know all the details.

Best bet is to watch all 6 films, Clone Wars cartoon, the new Rebels cartoon, and the new books that are out. Then you're ready for 7.

Even having knowledge of the EU is beneficial I think because certain aspects of it brought into canon I think.

I thought about it, but no way to predict which parts.

Like Blackboyfly and I both think that Jacen/Jaina are being used in the preview, only with changed names. No way for us to know for sure yet.

I'm guessing anything EU will be semi Easter Egg type stuff, maybe small bits & pieces, like a ship name, or planet, etc.

How so? Ep VII is written by the guy who wrote episode V, which I really like. And it got JJ Abrams, who's work I am a fan of. And Disney done a great job with Marvel by gathering the talent and letting them do their thing.

Seems like it has everything it needs going for it.
