Jamie Foxx has been a favorite of mine for 15 years ...I'm not angry he's offered roles, but I am angry that Marvel doesn't want to invest in Luke Cage or The Black Panther, Cloak and Dagger or Brother Voodoo.
Imagine, Kevin Hart, 2 Chainz, or some **** in a Luke Cage movie? It would be off the hook. But instead they give these public sympathy roles to blacks so we don't feel left out.
Dare Devil is one of my Top 5 Marvel characters and Ben did an excellent job....but a bullied white guy who runs New York would have been far more impressive and intimidating than Michael Clarke Duncan's affirmative action role.
Idris could have had a Luke Cage cameo in Thor or The Avengers just to test the waters... if would've been received positively I'm sure.
I just hate these almost offensive sympathy roles because they're scared blacks won't support the movie or Al Sharpton is gonna show up on set.
I get what you are saying but I don't think idris,Samuel,Terrence Howard/chidle,Jaime,halle, are given these roles as "sympathy"Jamie Foxx has been a favorite of mine for 15 years ...I'm not angry he's offered roles, but I am angry that Marvel doesn't want to invest in Luke Cage or The Black Panther, Cloak and Dagger or Brother Voodoo.

I still have not seen this movie.I wasn't happy about a spiderman reboot, but now I don't care since this movie looks awesome.
I still have not seen this movie.
My friend spoiled the movie for me.
He basically told me that it sucked.
This true?
dont think it sucks but its not memorable/ mediocre
Cosign.
This.
Doesnt suck but worth at least one viewing.
RFX, what's up with a title change or new thread?
Yeah, I mean, this thread is only 17 pages long I guess this movie can be considered slept on compared to the other CB flicks.
people must not like spiderman.
it wasn't the dark knight we need a director god to turn spidey into that
but it had everything I wanted from spiderman.
they gave him real character. he tells jokes, he has that animated series swag now. he might be peter parker but when he puts on the mask it's a whole nother story.
Put that in a spoiler, dude. That gives away A LOT and not everyone who goes in here has read that comic.
With that said, I'm excited they're really going to pull the trigger on that event.
Edited.
Me too but * ** *** ** *** **** ***** ** ** *****
