823. That's more or less where I had Homecoming

I think BP and Ragnarok are going to do better

I would love nothing more than BP to do those kind of numbers, especially for a first film

but I'm trying to manage my expectations

Homecoming with 2x multiplier for Chinese box offices is on pace to become the highest grossing Spider-Man film. It will top out at anywhere from 896-901 mil for its final world wide gross. With it leading Domestic Box offices with the lowest drop for top 10 movies for the 4th week straight, Homecoming is also estimated for another ~6mil in domestic earnings putting its total domestic haul just above Guardians of the Galaxy. Rumors are holding that Sony realizing Homecoming is on pace to be their highest grossing Spider-Man film are opting to keep the film in theaters deep into October to aid in the milestone being crossed....

Sony watching this box office is a GREAT thing. Not just because they want to see their money pile but because they know that Spider-Man has been revived as a box office juggernaut and they may not want to do anything Spider-Man related without Marvel's touch. The reigns of Spider-Man's rogue gallery should definitely be handled by Marvel now that Homecoming is experiencing incredible success. Best believe Fox is watching as well. Bravo Marvel!

The hype of the MCU will far outweigh any type of biases ignorant people may have toward a black superhero and predominantly black cast. Also the reviews for the movie will be insanely high just off of the cast and the quality of the film due to Disney's unlimited wallets. It truly depends on Thor: Ragnarok's reception but I'm expecting Thor to gross around Guardians 2 with 870ish and Black Panther to gross about 820ish

I'm tempering my BP expectations to nothing lower than Dr. Strange.

Yeah it absolutely has to do at least what Strange did. I think it's coming out in February. I could see it breaking records.

Spidey about to hit 900 :eek

Great. If Thor is well received I can see it at 900 as well.

yah I don't see it either

Thor 2 only reached ~$650m and it isn't getting an extra boost/hype from Civil War and just the first arrival of the character to the MCU

Hulk being in the film will help but I think it's going to have to be CW-level to even come close

I see it at around $800m, I mean GotG2 can't even make $900m

I'm cool with 800 million :lol
If action is top notch I'm giving it a few watches.

Hulk is my dude.

Thor is a wild card. I'm expecting audience reception to be extremelh high. I would love for Thor to gross a billion for his 3rd film like Iron Man and Captain America but it's gonna be difficult with JL releasing two weeks after Thor. Regardless if the film is universally praised, it's another win for Marvel

I think BP broke some trailer record or Twitter mention record. Lol it'll be big, don't you guys worry

Like I said, I'd be surprised if it goes below 900

Ragnarok is more of a wild card. I wouldn't put much stock in how previous Thor movies performed because they're selling the third movie as a drastically different, 'more fun' movie
