Sony is messing up big time tho, they dont realize, free is the new demand. people want things free , and thats what you have to compete with. they just dont want to.

every other large corporation has sucessfully competed with "free" they offer premium service, or better updates, better feautures.

instead of fighting the guy that wants to play mario games on his ps3, why not make a netflix like subscription service where players pay $10 to play retro games?

your argument makes no sense. first you say free is the new demand. then you say they should just charge $10 to play retro games, which is basically what the wii and even some xbox arcade games accomplish. yet people still pirate those games even though they have the option to buy them at a low price point.

i'm all for open systems, however, people need to understand just what might happen from a development standpoint for future products.

couple that with the fact that PSN is a free service.. how is Sony missing out on the "free demand" bandwagon exactly?

Nobody knows yet, or when. 
People have stealthed their Game Managers, but against what? Even they don't know if  it'll help because we have yet to see Sonys methods

Who cares if they ban consoles, i'm sure someone will develop a spoofer in no time so it's no biggie.

Really want to do this but like others, not trying to get banned. Only really use my ps3 for online play.

there is no way to get banned when you can run games with a disc inside or discless.

So I could do as I do on my wii? Download a game or put the disc in and rip straight to my hard drive and play without getting banned? I don't really care for the emulators since I have that on my wii, which I never really play.
