So, what happens if you just decide to walk out on a restaurant bill?

Ive def dine and dashed a few times in my teenage years..one time it was me and 2 of my boys..we were at applebees the waitress was this girl from our high school..this girl and I both liked each other, had class together, and sat next to each other in that class lol.. so seeing me casually walk out was not a good look at all :{...the following monday I got a ear full :{

LOLOL

if the food or service was bad, man up and tell the server/manager.. dont be a P**** and hit and run.. my girl found a hair in her food and we didn't want to make a big stink about it, so we just told the server and they took it off the bill and i didnt pay for it.. simple as that

Did it once my freshman yr of college went to apple bees in the boonies me my man his older cuz and 3 other guys we ordered alot of food and my mans cousin was florting with the waitress so we finish eating and my man cousin puts a card in the card slot when you get the bill and says he got got us im like :smokin i I was gonna pay put he had me , all of a sudden when I get up he's like y'all 2 run and meet at the car, he put a business card not a cc and got the waitress phone number :{ , this apple bees was in the middle of a mall so we all just break thru the mall , got away never been to apple bees since had horrible luck after that

Its theft.

Even if the food/service was terrible and you had an overall horrible time at the restaurant?
Yes. Especially if you ate everything.

I've done it before because of those exact reasons but I left half my meal on the table. I'm talking terrible service though like something was in my drink and you don't even try to give me something on the house, just make a face and bring another drink like I ordered a soda instead of juice :x :{

Some places it doesn't even hit them that someone would dine and dash, others more prepared for it either cuz they profile customers or they're use to it.

From what I've seen in the city, if you do this they make you wash dishes to pay off your bill or some other cleaning (just like in tv or in the movies). Shady places will jack you. Higher caliber places will just call the cops and you'll end up having to pay way more than the bill.

Never go back though, that's just dumb.

In NY you'll get charged with theft of services. Got caught a few years ago trying to run out on a check at Fridays in times sq. arrested in front of everyone for a $50 check :{

you can't afford some food

I've dined and ditched pretty recently actually. Felt bad about it too. But when you wait 20 mins for the check and are trying to pay, it's their fault.

Never done it, but wonder this as well. Looks like I have plans for the weekend.

i've never been in a club or a bar (unless its a bar i go to very very often) where they dont take a CC or even an ID for a tab.

and to add on to my walking out on a 45 minute check wait in the Caribbean, i had a cruise ship to catch. still doesn't justify it but i wasnt getting stuck in whereveriwas... :lol

What about drinking on someone else's tab at the bar or club? 8o

get up and complain to somebody anybody then don't leave a tip

Dude I know did this at a Denny's...But he had on his letterman's jacket and drove an old red mustang. Cops were waiting on him when he got to his house, told him he had 20 minutes to pay or he's going to jail. Made it back just in time, another cop waiting at Denny's...Left 2 bucks as tip, cop told him keep going...Had to leave a 20 on top of like 8 bucks :rollin

i was about a minute closer to doing it, i hate when they lag to bring the bill or to pick it up

I went to this mexican restaurant with My friend and her boyfriend, and we were meeting two of his friends at the restaurant.
When we get there and sit down the manager comes up to us like
" We are not serving you because the last time you were here some people in your party ran out on the bill".

And Im sittin there lookin like WTF? So I tell the manager I dont have anything to do with that.
And these fools ( A dude and a female) lookin like "I dont know," and just straight up denyin it
So finally after about 5 minutes of back and forth, he says he will serve us but he is going to make sure we pay.

So when he leaves they are like "I forgot we walked out of this one. I thought it was the other one. We shouldnt have come back to this one."
And Im lookin like
:|

So Im sitting there mad as F because there is no way Im ordering any food at this table, now that the wait staff remembers these fools.
I dont want my food to get spit in or God knows what else. So eventuall I just get up and go to the bar and order my foodand told them to deliver to the table I was at.
Then I went and talked to the manager. I told him I dont even know them people, and the waitress vouched for me that it wasnt me.

I ended up getting my food 15 minutes earier than them. Hot fresh and non tainted.

People like this are lames.
You have enough money to have an Iphone 5, and Galaxy S4, so that you can take IG photos the entire time we are at dinner,
but you runnin out on your $15 to $20 food tab? But then wonder why you will always be broke. You have a broke N mentality.

well, the waiter/waitress is responsible to the restaurant for the bill then.

This one time, I was at a restaurant with a business associate, and he finishes, and calculates the cost of what we ordered, and then leaves the appropriate amount for the food + tip. I still don't understand why he didn't ask for a bill, my guess is that he doesn't eat out a lot. Anyway, a few steps after walking out, the waitress comes running after us screaming we didn't pay the bill, and the guy told her that the money's on the table. Felt strange.

almost did it once, walked out then remembered we havent payed yet. went back and told then we forgot to pay, they were like "oh"

i wouldnt do it knowing that i have money to pay
