Somebody needs to set up a chat room for these finals games. This is a message board. We don't need 30+ people live blogging. The last 20 seconds of that game killed nt.
Although it would be easy to pin the blame for the recent instability on the Finals and the Yeezy 2 release, the bottom line is that discussion forums are designed to be USED. It makes no sense to blame users for "posting too much." The failure is clearly on the technical side.
In this particular case, it was a system-wide issue that affected a number of large sites and had NOTHING to do with our traffic levels. Sites like DropBox and Pinterest went down (albeit for much less time) due to the same issue. Unless you think Russell Westbrook's glasses broke Pinterest, you can hardly attribute that to the Finals.
Here's Yuku's official announcement:

Last night, for approximately 8-10 hours, the Yuku network was unexpectedly off-line due to a failure of Amazon Web Services that affected not only Yuku, but many popular web sites like Quora, Pinterest, Dropbox and Heroku. We apologize for this outage, and wanted to assure the community that we had our staff working overnight to bring the Yuku network back online as quickly as possible. According to Amazon, most of the connectivity has been restored, but the impact of the outage on the Yuku network is still being resolved by our engineers. We will provide you with additional updates as they become available and we appreciate your patience as we work to fully restore our network.

http://news.cnet.com/8301-1001_3-57453815-92/amazon-web-services-recovers-from-partial-outage/It just so happened that, of all the sites impacted by this outage, ours was among the very last to be restored. Obviously it's still a little slow and it'll be awhile before things are back to 'normal.'
I got hyped when I read on twitter that the site was down cuz NT was getting rid of yuku.
In hindsight, we should've posted a link to the Yuku error announcement via the staff twitter account, @niketalk1999, to prevent any rumors and speculation from getting out of hand. None of us had any idea how long the outage was expected to last, however, so we couldn't have been much help otherwise. We were just as much in the dark on this as anyone.
