I wonder why he didn't fight the police from his room.

With all that arsenal up there, I would have assumed he was going to go all out. But he didn't.

kinda thinking the same thing but if he slipped up and didnt monitor the cams correctly cuz he was too busy shooting at innocent people and saw the cops basically at his door already, panicked, and accidentally shot himself like the guy up there is thinking...

Could be that he didn't expect security/police to be up that quick. He might have just thought he could walk out. He did check in with his GF ID. If police went to check who the room was booked to it would come back to her. He knew once cops were there already, there was no way he was leaving alive.

I mean he didn't act alone, hell probably wasn't even him, he was just the fall guy and there was more than one gun being fired. Those were belt fed guns, not bump stocks. Bump stocks jam too much for that many rounds to be let off by one person.

with the story that he had cameras set up in the hall i figured he saw the cops coming and shot himself right before they got there. This def could have been way worse if he accidentally killed himself 40mins before he was found. That is a long time he could have used to shoot more...or i guess try to escape

Was it confirmed the cameras were on? I believe he was ready to get into a fire fight with cops/swat go out like movie villain. Not part of his escape plan, but I am positive he had one.

Sheriff said he had an (impossible) escape plan . That would have went out the window if he got in a fire fight with SWAT.

To me, there's a difference between erecting a fence, tinting your windows, and shunning your neighbors completely; and keeping distance and being discreet.

They were not going to just barge in. He could've had some serious bombs set up which could've done more damage. Plus the shooting stopped after he shot himself. He bleed out for at least 30 mins of that hour.

It was all him doing the shooting and firing. Everything he had was inspired by what he saw in movies. Scopes on those guns with bump stocks are pointless.
