Shattered Backboard 1 2025

Far from dead unless you're looking at resell market.

I mean the resell market reflects what is hyped and in style in terms of fashion currently. Jordan 1s have fallen out of favor, given the sheer number of releases bricking.

No matter how you fold it, demand for Jordan 1s just isn’t what it used to be. I say this as saying I’m glad people can easily cop for retail or better but anyone can see the model is currently dead, in terms of hype.

Plenty of classic models have struggled to regain former hype levels-I remember when people used to camp out for GR Foams, for example. GR Dunks and even SB Dunks also have lost tons of hype (tbf GR Dunks were always trash). The trend cycle will probably come back for some of these models but, with rare exceptions (I.e. Travis 1 lows) all are more or less dead at this time.

The fact that we have these and dunk lows in almost whatever color possible sitting on sale is music to my ears

Whoever is in charge of photos at StockX needs to be fired.

Don’t these amateurs proof the photos they take before posting them on the site or are their employees a bunch of lazy bums or what?

Look how freaking deformed the toe box area is! Either they chose the wrong pair to take photos with or the pair that’s on their site is fake as hell

Sorry about that; I just edited my post - the price changes when you go from GBP to USD

Who cares how it appears on their website, as long as the product you order on there arrives looking as it should.

Ended up winning a draw on size? for these. At least I got the new box, heard some people in Canada who got their shoes in a regular box. The package got stopped at the border and they must have looked in the box then put tape on the sides to keep it closed after. :smh:

I get your point. But they don't care.
Yeah buyers don’t care. But if I’m looking at StockX and they got a pic of a sneaker with its toe box and outsole looking all twisted and deformed for $250. And in another browser I’m looking at the same shoe for the same price on GOAT or Stadium Goods, where you think the casual buyer will likely purchase? And I’m not talking about just these SBB’s. I’m talking about any sneaker in general.

Your point is valid. It's not a good look for them from a business perspective. I guess I'm speaking of folks like us who are connoisseur's. Most of us understand the actual product won't be deformed like that.
