I liked it, didn't really see it as a corny ego thing, more an attempt to clear up some ignorance. I commend any effort to educate sneaker collectors on leather so that they can review it more accurately, as opposed to misinforming their viewers/readers by parroting the status quo.

Funny you say that because I’m sure Nike/JB have cancelled any plans of releasing those cws in OG Highs anytime soon (assuming they were planning on doing so).

Lowkey, they should just vault the OG High model for a few years (at least for GR releases) and just release Mids and 85s to keep interest going. Nobody asked for all of these unnecessary retro+ OG High cws they keep pumping out. Same thing with GR Dunks tbh.

QC issues were no joke with this release (including bleeding orange paint, one deformed toebox, and random glue stains). That said, after I tripled up on these I was able to pull one decent pair out of the lot… The rest are going back to Nike/StockX for someone else to enjoy:

At one point during the movie I found myself stroking the leather on the mid panel…just in awe at how good it felt. It was actually kind of distracting.

I had to remind myself that the movie was playing.
