Shattered Backboard 1 2025

Yeah I think it’s the black based pairs that mainly get the “glitter”
My 2016 Breds had the most I’ve ever seen. It was literally all over the black parts. They were DS too so maybe that is a reason. I put them on my shelf the day they released in 2016 and that’s where they stayed until I sold them in December of 2024.

I read/hear conflicting reasons for the glittering occurring. Everything from keeping them stored in the shoe box, on shelves and never worn to regular wear. I don't think anyone really knows for sure. I read (as I'm sure most on here have) that it is possibly due to whatever coating Nike was using at the time and its chemical reaction to the black painted leather.

Holy smokes, these some Stock X prices  Might just wait.

For those of you who have the original release, is the leather quality THAT much better than the typical release? Or was it just among the best we'd see on an AJ1 at that time?
For me, it was different than any other pair of Jordans I've held. If I can best describe it, it just felt like an NBA basketball that had been broken in really well.

Bro, why are you comparing a shoe to a BASKETBALL? Maybe a comparison to something similar like say, I dunno, another shoe? Your literally comparing a shoe to a ball? Lmao

I would guess they mean't to say basketball sneaker/shoe that's been broken in really well.

Uh yeah? It's not far fetched. I've done extensive reviews, historical perspectives and comparisons of them all on YouTube back when they originally dropped.

So… where are these releasing exactly? I don’t see them on the foot sites or SNKRS unless I’m missing something

Are you planning to cop the upcoming, given that you already have the 2015?

Still almost a month and a half away until release. They should be a GR since they’ll be full family.
My fault. Why did I see some site say this weekend was the drop? Maybe overseas I guess. That’s fine I can save up for the 8s.

The only other orange pair of Jordan 1's I have is the womens Starfish 1's but it will be cool to put these up with them in my collection.

Thats exactly how i would describe it, and thats honestly what i thought they were going for.
