This only verifies how great Stafford and McVeigh are. Even after the SB, I heard commentary about how the Seahawks defense wasn't actually that great because Stafford put up numbers. Well, the 2013 LOB gave up stupid numbers to Andrew Luck and Kaep, among some other QBs. That team was damn lucky to have the #1 seed. It helps to win the all the other games, and pray for some help along the way. It's how everty team in the NFL has won, basically.

this dude says the superbowl trophy is on display at tiffanys in bellsquare. Actual trophy or replica?

I'm guessing it's real. No reason to have a replica on display for just a week. That being said, there are plenty of replica trophies for Super Bowls. There's a replica of the 2013 trophy on display at Legion across the street, for example.

Trophy gonna be there for 2 weeks but so far it’s a 2 hour wait. Might drop by on a weekday morning

How does the 'franchise tag' mechanism work?

They're basically one year deals where you get paid close to the top of your position

It's something teams use to keep a player and without giving a long term deal and depending on the tag type prevents players from signing with other teams or if they do you'll get some compensation back

John doesn't use the tag alot to begin with so that's nothing new.

I think they get a deal done with K9 to keep him here

If Hawks can give K9 a reasonable offer I think he stays. However, if it's much lower than another team is willing to offer I think he leaves. Life of an NFL RB is extremely short and this could be the last chance he has for a bag.

  • An "exclusive" franchise player must be offered a one-year contract for an amount no less than the average of the top five salaries at the player's position as of a date in April of the current year in which the tag will apply, or 120 percent of the player's previous year's salary, whichever is greater. Exclusive franchise players cannot negotiate with other teams. The player's team has all the negotiating rights to the exclusive player.
  • A "non-exclusive" franchise player must be offered a one-year contract for an amount no less than the average of the top five cap hits at the player's position for the previous five years applied to the current salary cap, or 120 percent of the player's previous year's salary, whichever is greater. A non-exclusive franchise player may negotiate with other NFL teams, but if the player signs an offer from another team, the original team has a right to match the terms of that offer, or if it does not match the offer and thus loses the player, is entitled to receive two first-round draft picks as compensation.

With the rumors swirling before the SB I had a feeling there was smoke. Just hoping they get a passionate owner like Paul and not someone like Bezos who just wants to give the stadium a dumb name and place logos all over the place (I do get most owners see a franchise as a business investment but a mix of the two wouldn't be bad).

Was just looking and the Commanders sold for 6 billion in 23'. Current valuations have the Hawks at 7-10 bil.

HB has been against this for so long so the switch up is interesting lol

Now Maxx is top priority? We'll see i guess

Would be a great addition, but at what cost?
Feel like it's a move that would've been done if Pete was still here. JS himself is too stingy with picks are they're already limited this year. If the Raiders take future picks though...

Tbf previous trades were on John too. I think he doesn't mind being aggressive if he sees a player more valuable than whatever those picks would end up being.

I doubt it happens though anyways

Feels like this off-season will be about absorbing the expected losses and adding depth via the draft and mid tier FA targets
