The possibility of#Seahawks QB Russell Wilson and a fully guaranteed contract is very real. Will be fascinating to watch this develop
Other rumors... (kind of old, but haven't been posted here)Jason La Canfora [emoji]10004[/emoji] @JasonLaCanfora
Amid all the talk of a $20M deal for Russell Wilson, let me posit the possibility he plays out his rookie contract: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/jason-la-canfora/25073999/russell-wilson-might-play-out-his-contract-in-seattle-then-seek-megadeal …
DAVIS HSU @DavisHsuSeattle
Matt Bowen says league sources tell him TE Julius Thomas is in play for the Seahawks in FA- link on my TL.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2368113-nfl-combine-2015-matt-bowens-day-1-notebookThe Seahawks are looking to upgrade the tight end position, and league sources say Julius Thomas could be in play once he hits the free-agent market. Thomas would give quarterback Russell Wilson a true matchup weapon to target inside the numbers and in the red zone. Think of "50-50" balls that Thomas can go up and get at the point of attack.
Never heard of this dude, but he's a writer for some website and has 42k followers.Drew Boylhart @DrewBoylhart
RUMOR;#Seahawks very interested in#Bears WR Brandon Marshall & have contacted them about a trade. Interst on both sides is building#NFL
**Disclaimer******* The following story is exactly how it transpired. Whether or not it turns out to be accurate, we will find out in about a month. I promise you that I am not fabricating this one bit, in an attempt to stir up the site. Just simply wanting to report to my fellow Hawk lovers what I'm hearing. After all, the Lions can still franchise Suh and make all of this a moot point.
So last night, I'm sitting down watching some TV, when I get a facebook message from an old friend that lives in Seattle, who happens to be a diehard Cowboy fan, but also a very passionate and knowledgeable guy about all things football. Let's say he works at a "Prime" employer in the Seattle area, and one of his best friends and co-workers happens to be really close friends with a prominent Hawk player with ties to the Northwest. Here's what the message from my buddy said:
"Hey bro. My buddy at work is friends with (player name hidden to keep anonymity). He says Suh is a done deal to Seattle. 4 years $55M"
Now, I'm pretty skeptical at this point. But I take solace in the fact that my buddy isn't happy giving me this news....he's not liking us getting Suh one bit. Still, I ask a follow up question.
"that would be sick....you feel like this is pretty reliable info?"
and he goes,
"he's the one that told me about the first Percy trade before it happened".
who is the speaker?
Tony Pauline @TonyPauline
Yesterday I mentioned how hot the free agent cornerback market will be. Early numbers i'm hearing are $10 mill/annually for Byron Maxwell
Tony Pauline @TonyPauline
Present word has the Philadelphia Eagles as front runners for cornerback Byron Maxwell.
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/source...-12m--11m-range-for-first-year-195328207.htmlThe Seattle Seahawks have offered running back Marshawn Lynch a multi-year deal that would pay between $11 million and $12 million during the first year and $9 million during the second of what could end up being a three-year deal, according to multiple league sources.
Lynch's agent, Doug Hendrickson, and Seahawks general manager John Schneider met Friday night in Indianapolis, where the NFL scouting combine is being held. While the two sides are close on the framework for a deal, it's still not clear whether Lynch is inclined to accept it.

Doug Hendrickson, agent for Marshawn Lynch, says "there is no deal done." I continue to hear SEA has offer on table that will result in deal

Marshawn Lynch has a new deal in place with the Seahawks according to league sources.

Would expect formalization of Lynch deal in coming days. Will include $12M in 1st year, $9M in 2nd year w/SEA aware he may retire after '15

Carroll hinted it close. Trying to confirm from a plane "@JasonLaCanfora: Marshawn Lynch has a new deal in place with #Seahawks sources say"
http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/...g-a-pair-of-cornerbacks-as-free-agency-looms/The Seahawks, potentially losing Byron Maxwell in free agency and also needing to beef up a secondary that has been hit with some injuries, are reportedly courting cornerbacks Cary Williams and Tramon Williams.
Cary Williams, who was released by the Eagles earlier this week, will visit the Seahawks Thursday, according to a report tonight from NFLDraftDiamonds.com.
The 30-year-old Williams started all 33 regular season and playoff games for the Eagles the past two years. He previously played for Tennessee and Baltimore and started in the Ravens’ Super Bowl XVIII win over the 49ers.
Cary Williams was released by the Eagles in a salary cap move as he was due to make $6.5 million in 2015. He had two interceptions in two years with the Eagles, who have not been known for their pass defense, allowing the most passing yards in the NFL in 2013 and the second-most in 2014.
As for Tramon Williams, the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported tonight that the Seahawks are expected to pursue him if he is not re-signed by the Packers by the time the free agent signing period begins on Tuesday.
As the story notes, Tramon Williams joined the Packers in 2006 when current Seattle general manager John Schneider was then working in Green Bay.
Tramon Williams, who recently turned 32, started all but one game for Green Bay the last five years. The Press-Gazette reports he turned down a two-year, $8 million offer from the Packers and wants a 3-4-year deal averaging $5 million a season.
