unless everyone else in Putin's circle are mad and suicidal enough to bring the whole world in flames.Depends on whether he has full authority on the launch system. From past incidents, we know that there's a multi-tiered structure when it comes to launching nukes and the military leaders may not all be on the same page. I don't know if the command structure was reorganized to give Putin/loyalists more power, and we never truly find out who's with the despot and who disagrees with him until ****'s about to hit the fan anyway.
Not everyone who licks a despot's boots enjoys the taste...unless everyone else in Putin's circle are mad and suicidal enough to bring the whole world in flames.
