gotta remember that these are slated to come out in december, and I'm sure that a good amount of people that voted wont end up getting one due to lack of funds/interest by the time that date arrives. the hats being released during holiday season is a good thing imo.

plus, mef already said that they're gonna try their best to not let what happened last time happen again.
