Excuse me? Good job for actually having a prejudicial statement in this thread.... clown...

wait... whoever said the robots were supposed to be black?

sounds like whoever wrote that is the racist one... "they have chains, buckteeth, act inappropriate, etc... they must be black!"

#5: In the twins' vehicular incarnation, they're flashy compact racing cars. Black robots aren't concerned about the safety and security of their loved ones? Family sedans aren't "urban" enough for you?

Apparently another review believes so too.

And worst of all, the frightening sidekicks of the film and the mistake this film will most likely be forever known for: Mudflap and Skids, the Stepin Fetchbots of the film. It's as if Michael Bay looked at Jar Jar Binks and said "Oh, *%!% no. Really? People find THAT offensive? *%!% that, I'll show them a +%@$%$# stereotype they'll never +%@$%$# forget!" And he does.

Oh. My. God.

They speak in clichéd urban slang, tossing around phrases like "I'm gonna pop a cap in your +!!" while fist bumping and mumbling unintelligently in a voice that sounds like a bad Chappelle Show sketch. Then you get a close up. And they each have bug eyes and a gold tooth. Then there's this #@*#+@@ comment about them not being able to read. My jaw was on the floor. I mean, if you're gonna toss out a bad stereotype, at least have the courtesy to make that stereotype a complete badass so as to deflect complaints that this is a deliberately negative portrayal. These mother !%%*%$$ are incompetent, bumbling and never, EVER, cool.

I just seen the move ok the robots were raicaly sugesstive but no were near racist it was a good +$$ movie and honestly the twins are Michael bays version ofwill smith and Martin Lawrence (badboys) in robot for and they are hilarious

{Optimus Prime} Calm down. Calm down. {Optimus Prime}

However, I think Bay ODed on the "Blackness" with the first one...with ol' boy from Hangtime acting extra and Jazz being a P.O.N.T.I.A.C. andtalking all kinds of slang.

Not that deep though...

They probably right but whoever wrote that has a clearvendetta(wouldn't be surprised if it was a white person).

Just saw the movie and I'm not the sensitive type and rarely use the "R" word, but that +@!! was racist.

If you're offended, you believe the stereotypes.

Otherwise, you should consider it a joke and keep it moving.

The guys who thought OP was reaching havn't seen the movie yet. I just got done watching the movie and me and my girlfriend both thought it was prettyracist, and then I see this thread on NT. FYI I am not black, and I don't really care about the racism in the movie. Just stating my opinion.

Just saw the movie. Sorry, but the twins were

But they definitely weren't rednecks contrary to belief.

Ehh...a white journalist in the Washington Post felt that it was unnecessary stereotyping...so obviously there must be something there.
