I think if he was an ordinary person he might get off. It was in the heat of the moment and his man was just killed in front of him by someone to take his life. The gun was proven to be not his.
But he's a rapper in New York and they're going to try and send a message. Not sure about Troy's prior record and if he has one, and his subject matter doesn't help things.

Troy’s definitely getting time imo. It’s just a matter of how much. He’s on video clear as day firing a weapon in NYC. That heat of passion stuff can be proven, but I don’t see it going down in his favor. Bless em if it does, though.
