Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

lol not sure if serious

Cats can literally spew hate/kill rhetoric toward the black commmunity all day and night......while the whole world sings along.

But the second u mention.....

Remember when 21 Savage's "getting Jewish money" line sparked so much of a debate...and not all the opps he murdered in the rest of the songs? :smh:

lebron got in trouble for having that same line from 21 in an IG caption. nick cannon was openly calling white folks subhuman but the line wasn't crossed till he said we the real hebrews... them people had his *** taking jewish history lessons after that and sent that ***** on hiatus

Apparently, I have to reiterate this here, but:

If the issue is that anti-Black racism ought to be dealt with swiftly and decisively in all cases, and not just selectively, then we should be advocating FOR that, not AGAINST other groups’ attempts to seek redress when subjected to hate speech. This serves no one other than White Supremacists.

In this case, Kanye has made anti-Black comments before and since the “death con 3” tweet. Are you for or against holding him accountable?

It’s one thing to note that America has an overwhelming appetite - let alone “tolerance” - for anti-Black racism. It’s quite another to promote conspiracy theories about how Jewish people “control the media,” etc.

This is a thread for “random” hip hop discussion that doesn’t fall into other thread categories. There are multiple large threads to discuss Kanye West, so this is not the place for it, and nowhere on NikeTalk is it acceptable to promote anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.

Why whenever this topic comes up, it becomes us against them? When that shouldn't be the discussion.

We need to look in the mirror at the music WE consume. Every time I bring up the music and it harming us, dudes run with their cape on.

You can't have it both ways. You want someone to be outraged about all the music promoting Black Death, but then you stream and support it.

We shouldn't expect anyone else to be outraged for us for Make America Great, White Lives Matter, Harriet Tubman....

This Jeezy album is mid
