In this era of streaming....too many songs isn't a cause for low album sales. It's actually supposed to help

i won’t say good music doesn’t matter but relevance and the spectacle behind an act are way bigger driving forces behind an artist’s 1st week

I don't perceive him as lazy. I think the issue is he's perceived as corny.

No one cares for a game record in 2022. That simple. It’s over for bro commercially and that’s okay, his debut was 18 years ago or something.

I mean, Game obviously wanted to sell some records. It’s disappointing that he’s selling on Par with GRODT. Like, that IS bad

Dude has access to Kanye, Wayne, Drake etc and tons of features and big time producers. Not only that, he can practically walk into any studio/podcast and promote is stuff. That type of access and relationships is like a lottery ticket for an actual independent artist with no singles.

Nut None of it works, because nobody simply cares for his music anymore. That doesn’t take away from what he’s done in the past.

Ppl not really harping on sales. It’s just the reality of where the Game is at this point.

He will only fly overseas to do a tour anything domestic if he can’t drive to the show he won’t do it… That’s why u never see him in NYC anymore doing interviews etc

The fact that he has access to those artist & producers & still put out a really solid album tell me that he's relevant enough musically .

I'm just trying to figure out what people expect him to be doing numbers wise? he's 20 years in did 20K first week independently with little to no push outside of the two interviews he did.

This is the norm for most artist with his age & longevity, unless you have a super smash, a label pouring money on you, or have a fanbase full of teens going crazy on socials for you your numbers aren't ging to be high. Game did 25K first week

I could go on & on, there's plenty of artist on this list who surely aren't stars but i wouldn't describe as musically irrelevant. There's dozen of artist that get posted in here who people claim to be "next up" "Hottest In the streets" "Got the city buzzin" tat would wish to do numbers in that realm

theres way too much information out there to keep basing an artists worth off of corporate playlist, the local club & their ability to get 16 yr olds to stan for em.

The reality is Game is in a great position for any rapper who is no longer considered a superstar.

Regardless, all I’m saying is commercially it’s cold for chuck and has been for awhile and it’s all good. He’s damn near 20 years in it’s supposed to be that way. Nothing wrong with being a legacy act. A lot of money in that
