Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

My favorite Snoop album is Tha Last Meal. That said, I haven’t even listened to majority of his catalog. He got a lot of ****
You gotta listen, man. His discog is fire. From 93-08 Snoop discog is damn near completely solid. Ppl just have this thing w/ him & The Rock where they're way more famous as people than what they do for a living. It's like ppl do and don't see Snoop as rapper.

I had backtracked a bunch of Snoop albums from No Limit til some pretty current ones, and his more recent ones are a lot of mid. There’s never more than 3 or 4 tracks I can go back to listen to. But I mess with all 3 No Limit ones (the latter two more than the first), and everything through Blue Carpet Treatment. Doggumentary is probably one of his most listenable albums the past ten years. Has a lot of good beats on there.

Also, I listened to Lil’ Cease’s album for the first time two nights ago, and it sounds like something that Mase did and abandoned and Diddy handed him the instrumentals and said

Right? I can't remeber why, but sometime last year I was looking at all the albums Snoop has released. Couldn't believe how many there are since I haven't purchased one of his albums since the 90s. Can’t say the guy doesn’t work. LOL.

I haven't listened to much Snoop post Malice n Wonderland outside of a few singles here and there. Any songs/albums past that point worth listening to?

Thats a lazy criticism.
I could easily say the same about almost every rapper that’s popular right now lol

Him and Crocket are the guiltiest of doing this.
They’ll call someone “repetitive” or “one dimensional” or they “lack different subject matter” and will post the very type of artist who are notorious of it.

Maybe Wavy, not Russian but this dude Wavy said someone is too repetitive or one dimensional. Can’t remember who but it was an asinine statement. ALL THESE DUDES IS ONE DIMENSIONAL nowadays.

Can’t say that about Youngboy
Can’t say that about Kodak
Can’t say that about Lil Baby

I like Meek I’m just calling it how I see it. Same criticism I been having of Dolph. Meek been ON like 10 years and haven’t progressed his sound one bit, he been trying to remake the intro since 2012. The Meek Mandela phase brought a lil bit of a different sound but he beat that **** in the ground too. Last Meek song that touched my soul was Oodles and Noodles baby. That was 2018. He got 3 bags, Meek Mandela Bag, female music bag, and the intro bag. 90% of his catalog can go in those 3 categories.

Make more **** like We ball, Oodles and Noodles baby, Championships, Heaven or Hell.

Stop tagging me in dumb s***. He clearly a botty.

no man should ever let a woman eat his rear end or even play around that area.

somebody need to tie his a*** down and force him to take that lupus medication. Put it in his water or something

So tired of hearing this type of beat n_s running it in the ground.

Remember Lucci having this same type of beat on his album 4 times.not to say the songs aren’t good but to me this lazy as hell.
