Outside of "honest" which was years ago he's stayed true to his artistry.
"Honest" wasn't even some sell out **** it was experimental if were being totally real. Future had the harmonizing/singing **** in his toolbag from day one it just that single body of work was his worst.
I don't even know why people even bring that up cause it damn sure isn't the reason why he's a superstar now. He's where he's at cause he's the only rapper who makes authentic street music that is consumed by ****** on the block and also by Timmy from Idaho without losing one ounce of integrity.

How is that selling out? GAP is using him to get urban social media coverage and attention they usually wouldn’t get. Future is not trying to sell albums to Cher’s fans.

This could work but imagine how lesser of a brand Metro would have if he only could do songs with Gucci and OJ the Juiceman and Wooh da Kid and ****.
I remember Kid Ink saying he couldnt get a beat from London because Birdman had him in one of those deals. Imagine the run he could have went on.

that same album had benz friends on it and the apprehension to future doing anything other than the 5 Peat type music is likely why we’ll never get a Dungeon Fam styled album from him.

All I said was, Future did indeed try to go the commercial route. When earlier, someone said he never tried to go commercial. To each his own but, he did make an attempt.

Kanye West's 808 was roundly thrashed when it dropped, its still only hated less than that other turd he laid with da no album art.
Future's second album was trash, hence why he went back to da streets for that 3peat...he's said as much (source or XXL article)...he moved to LA and Ciara had him trippin... making ish out his lane.
