A-Z how is this money/proceeds going to stop police brutality?
Some **** can sound good on a paper but really how does that even work?
*****s gon pull a muscle tryna stretch this **** into some good ****.
I just wanna see the black/grey/white Brooklyn Bills fitteds bruh you don't gotta piss on my leg and tell me it's raining.
Stop police brutality?? this is what people require for jay to have done "good" on this deal??
Ya'll *****s want Jay-Z to stop an issue that has plagued the black community since slave days? This how we measuring his effectiveness
So **** raising money for different programs, and funneling money towards trying to change policies. If Jay doesn't eradicate all of black Americas ill's then he clearly a balck con man only out for himself
Fam our whole point is that Jay added all these stipulations himself?
what does police and community relations and criminal justice reform mean? what is the money going to do for those causes?

These grants are in the spirit of two grants issued last season to Dream Corps and the UNCF (United Negro College Fund). With this support, Dream Corps' #cut50 initiative helped to pass the bipartisan First Step Act. UNCF is using this support to develop and launch a criminal and social justice initiative that aims to alleviate the impact of mass incarceration on individuals and communities through the prism of higher education.
The NFL will also partner with digital learning curriculum leader EverFi on a high school-focused African-American History program. The funding will let thousands of students in 175 underserved schools in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Montana and North Carolina to take part in the digital curriculum, at no charge to the schools or students.
All this looks great
But let's take something like this for example
All this is good **** it really is.
But again, to keep this full circle and remind everyone why we even here...how does this make it so that Colin "doesn't have to kneel"
It's stuff that's great in it's own right and that they could have done without any reference to Colin or his purpose for kneeling...but for them to posture it as a reaction to what Colin was doing is on some "Iight we doing this now, we ain't a good ol boy organization, get your *** up and stand for the flag" is the issue.
This is **** that they can do independent of feeling like Colin/whoever ain't supposed to still kneel for a country that doesn't prosecute law enforcement (and regular white civillians) who kill unarmed blacks.
"through the prism of higher education"
this is on some "let's send more kids to college so that they can escape the hood" which is great. but the root problem isn't fixed when the beneficiaries of these programs would still be at risk to get killed on a routine traffic stop or more specifically, after they are killed, there would be no prosecution for their deaths. that's what Colin is/was kneeling for and no matter how much good these programs do, nothing they are gonna do will validate the spin of saying this fixes the root issue of what Colin and Reid were kneeling for and that's how Hov and the NFL were trying to spin it. "We're doing something more than kneeling" No y'all are doing good **** in y'alls own right that has nothing to do with why Kaep was kneeling.
It's good work but it's still a spin. NFL offers Hov a team ownership piece to help them rebrand to a more urban audience like the NBA > Hov sees the play but knows the backlash is coming because of Kaep's situation and the kneeling thing > Hey Look We're Putting Meek Mill on Halftime shows and donating to charities, we have to do something more than kneeling GOMD
Even though I like UGK’s version better...this is imprinted in my head whenever that sample comes on because of how much BET played it.
The funniest thing about the whole situation to me is he’s doing the exact same thing he told travis NOT to do at the time.
Travis was gonna perform and make them donate 500k to social justice groups
Jay z: NO DONT DO IT, NFL IS BAD, SLAVE OWNERS ETC
Travis does it anyways,
Link for fact check https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ok...at-social-justice-charity-super-bowl.html/amp
PUBLIC (this thread included): he’s a CDDN, sell out...kardashians brainwashed him, he hates himself etc etc
fast forward to today:
Jay z throws concert in partnership with NFL...proceeds go to social justice groups, gets meek Luther king(who also ran his mouth about travis) to perform
Y’all:
HE GOT US A SEAT AT THE TABLE!!! WOKE KING!!
own my ownBMJR is a carter SERIES standout.

“After TMZ Sports reported the rapper will join Adam Levine's band on stage, Jem Aswad and Shirley Halperin of Variety reported Jay-Z is attempting to convince Scott not to perform”
and Mr twitter fingers himself, who his now performing for the NFL...also criticized Travis
Let me guess though, “those reports can’t possibly be true, jay z clarified his statement 8 MONTHS LATER”
“He didn’t want travis to play second fiddle to maroon 5” riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
