Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

This is hypothetical because i know Radio's motivation.... but if we were talking simply based off radio playing artist with a Buzz in the city & what people are bumping in The Streets. These are a few tracks i would Suggest NYC Radio could start bumping from NYC Artist.

Haven't listened to radio since Flex pump faked with Meek's diss but they're wildin if they not playing A Boogie records.

I could def see why they wouldn't be playing Sheck Wes or Blixky Gang though.

As for Gunna (I know you posted the song cause of Dave), I doubt he's getting played on NYC radio but I constantly hear Drip Season played in cars. So if these records are catered to a younger audience but that same audience doesn't listen to radio then what's the point of even playing it?

Reminds me of parties in college where if you played a song that was fire but no one knew and the sound was different than that was hot at the moment, people wouldn't dance to it and would start requesting songs that everyone they knew. That's when I stopped blaming the DJ and put more responsibility on the listeners.

Either way, somebody gotta get Flex the **** outta here. I don’t care how they do it, but someone gotta make room for new DJs in NYC. Funk Flex still being that guy is kinda ridiculous. Even Red Alert wasn’t as out there and involved as Flex is right now. Get this ***** outta here, man.
He just doing like some of these older legends and refusing to leave.

Really aint no after rap game plan for these dudes and they not gonna just fade in to Bolivia like the vets before them.

As long as Flex drop them freestyles he's good in my book. Not sure who dude on stage was but I'm assuming he's the host. If thats the case
  1. Why didnt you approach/press him before the show started?
  2. Why did you even agree to do it knowing he's working their as well?
**** just seemed like alot of tough talking with no action. I forgot which station it was but I remember Just Blaze said he almost got fired for playing Exhibit C. Thats pretty much when I completely gave up on radio as whole in terms of Hip-Hop. Everybody got to eat I guess

Not on either side but I will say Based on his podcast and others Mouse is super annoying. Always talking the tough guy ****, letting be known that he was poor, forcing jokes and says stuff for a reaction lol

Never heard of dude but damn that’s ether :lol

When MC's beef we atleast get good bars/music out of it (a dying art sadly), what happens when radio hosts beef? Is dude a DJ as well? If so they could be next up after Swizz and Just went at it

Dude calling out Flex for playing Racks in 2018 but then played this right after

:stoneface::rofl:

This was corny. People do anything to get attention. He's not from the real New York, because if it were the 80's or 90's he would have been lumped up for that. But he's messing with a 50 something year old Flex.

Then he proceeded to play Before I Let You Go, which is some Flex ****. Dude wasn't alive when that came out.

Dudes are corny in 2018. Anything for attention and to go viral.
