Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

It got me thinking....We will NEVER see a figure like the prime KIRK FRANKLIN . I’m not really religious anymore....but this **** still goes to this day :pimp:.

A certified hip hop classic. I even seen an Ahk signing “GP are you with meeeeee”.

I remember wondering why Kirk Franklin was shouting Gary Payton when I was a kid.

Yeah but millions of ppl got the internet and those 4 were just on message boards/forums trolling years ago but how did they out of millions of ppl become the "gatekeepers"
If it wasn’t them, it was going to be another group of goobers.

Hip Hop has grown exponentially since its inception. We’ve reached a point where the demographic of fans has changed so much, that these are the guys being propped up. Streaming has only made it worse, where influence isn’t based solely on who goes out and cops a physical CD or a ticket to see a show, but on things like YouTube streams.

Kids don’t buy CDs, but they do sit at their computer and watch YouTube videos. Those views influence advertisers which in turn puts children in a position where they have a say in who is looked at as a gatekeeper.

When you see an Adam22 video being pushed to you with 525k views, that’s why.

It’s all influence.

Ok
Now One last whose who
WHO THE HELL IS FEE
I BEEN WONDERING WHO WAYNE BEEN CALLING OUT FOR YEARS

Fee is Wayne’s childhood friend I think. I just remember calling him his son

“I ain’t got child, I got a fee.”

I remember Wayne did that BET version of cribs back in the gap, and Fee was on there and he was calling Wayne his pops and them ****** the same age lol.

Funny thing is when Kevin Gates first popped up Fee was his manager, I remember that because Gates almost signed to YM back then.

That part is huge right there. They tried sneaking that in like people don't notice

SO many of these newer dudes have no shame, just like the people behind them pushing them. All of them just are just variations of the same aesthetic, and one way or another, they're connected. I can go through my Amazon right now and get a feeling of 6 degrees of separation from all these dudes.

*scrolls account*

I have no idea what a Yung Pinch is (yea, that'a a real name), but you can just look at him, his tape/album cover and already know what what it's about

Go to his twitter and he's RT'ing XXX and Lil' Skies of course. All those dudes come from the same factory.

Zay gotta stop enabling this stuff

With All the bums folks mention in this thread
Pre 08 Wayne
Has every right to be talked about
Pre 08 Wayne earned that at least

This thread ****in loves talking about trash rappers. If wavycrocket wavycrocket wasn’t the leader of the trash school, this thread would be on page 5 by now. Everyday it’s Wayne, Future or one of the talentless ****s from the south. Lil Baby, Gunna, NBA but at least they’re putting out music. Wayne dead.

I can’t count how many times I’ve thrown that song on at home and me and wifey dance to that **** for real

I didn’t like 90059, I’ve never been a fan of his flow and delivery. This new album he got it right, I’m coppin it
This new album is more radio friendly than 90059. So if you wasn't a fan before I get why you might like this one. 90059 is a more Jay Rock aggressive/introspective album.
