The only reason the Zimmerman case got national press is because the media is obsessed with the idea that Zimmerman committed a racial atrocity and must be punished for it.

"No one cares about Chicago!!!" What? For one, gang violence in the Chi has been like that since like the 80s, and two, EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT! Literally every Trayvon discussion I've read about online, someone brings up Chicago. This has BEEN a problem. JUST like profiling.

We talk about black on black crime more than white people talk about white on white crime (statistically most violence against white people is from other white people. Damn dudes in here really trying to throw dirt on Trayvon's name. You have to remember he was a 17 year old male. When we were that age many of us liked to get into scraps, be tough guys, we all assume the bad boy image at one point, most of us smoked a little herb, drank a little, played with knives, got caught stealing/cheating. Boys will be boys.

Not every teenager is a saint. It's not completely abnormal to do the things that Trayvon is accused of. People are reaching hard after the fact. You can predict behavior B off of behavior A. It's a lot more complex.

I see where you're going and also disagree with racial profiling, but this is a poor analogy. School shootings happen once in a blue moon. Black on black crime is an epidemic.

I think some support Zimmerman

Because most people who support Trayvon still understand the verdict due to Florida's laws and reasonable doubt.

The jury got an entire different set of instructions from a normal jury due to stand your grand. In a regular state, shooting someone is the last resort of self defense. Zimmerman would have had to run to avoid the altercation and he couldn't have said I thought my life was in danger defense.

People in the United States have been making impulsive mistakes for hundreds of years and when an impulsive mistake ends in somebody dying then the person responsible should have to do some time locked up. The impulsive mistake GZ made that night was getting out of a car and follow a teenager who he deemed "suspicious" who in fact was doing nothing wrong. Everybody defending GZ I can't understand because this man made the whole situation come to fruition. At one point even in GZ's story TM is clearly tryin to avoid GZ by running. Which at the age of 17 when somebody has been blatant about surveying what your doing running is not unusual.
