Question about Modding your taillights in NYC

I got those smoked films to put over the taillights, haven't put them on yet though, im wondering though, will cops pull you over for them?

anything extra on ur whip will get u STOPPED the Ds aint effin around out here

how dark are they? if you can only see the taillights when the break is pumped they will pull you over
